theJ
Stacey Cheaney, the 93 OVR PG that's played his whole career with the Rockets, made it through FA without an offer.Β Must be a lot of teams in cap hell. A few other top rated guys didn't get an offer until day 12 (out of 13).

theJ
Training camps I have a ton of points to use still, but in the interest of not abusing it, i'm still only working on my pet project Oliver Gatling.Β The 7'6" monster. Sent Oliver Gatling to Big Man Defense - +4 Def Awareness, Block, Low Post D (now 60, 68, 65) He's now a 61 OVR. Β Side note: i actually played a game last season.Β He came in and got 2 blocks where he didn't even need to put his arms up.Β It's hilarious how large he is.
theJ
Someone explain how this happened.Β Stacey Cheaney signed with the Bulls on a 66.28M deal, 3 years.Β Puts the Bulls 5.57M over the cap.Β Since he wasn't a bird signing, they shouldn't have been able to do that deal, right?Β The MLE would have allowed them to go about 3-4M over the cap for him. @MKnight82 ??? theJ
Opening Roster.Β McGuire's and Burke's potential suddenly dropped to nothing, so they'll definitely be declining following the season.Β Based on other top player curves though, they should both still be very good (at least mid-80's, if not better) toward the end of their deals.Β Kevin Durant is 34 and still 94 OVR.Β LeBron is 37 and 85 OVR.Β So we'll see. 2022-23 Roster Ratings Spot Position Name Age OVR Potential Yearly Salary Years Left MPG IN OUT PER D PST D HNDL REB IQ ATH 1 PG | SG Marty McGuire 29 96 - 23.13 5 33 B A+ A+ C- A+ C- A A 2 SG | PG Vin Hill 26 83 B+ 11.82 3+1P 31 C+ A- A B- B- D+ B+ A- 3 SF Dale Burke 30 96 - 22.61 5 33 A- A+ A+ B- B B- A- A 4 PF | SF Gerald Gatson 23 87 A+ 4.77 1 33 A- B B- B+ C+ A B B+ 5 PF | C William Goodman 22 85 A+ 1.66 1+1T 32 B+ D+ B- A- C A- B A- 6 SG | SF Bernard Hughes 22 78 B+ 3.51 1+2T 21 C+ B+ B C B D+ B- A 7 PF Scot Sheridan 27 73 B+ 6 3 21 B D D+ C+ C- B+ C+ B- 8 PG | SG Jake Tate 28 69 B- 3.2 1 10 C C+ B D- B+ D C+ B+ 9 PF | SF Warren Conley 25 67 B- 1.28 1+1T 8 C+ F D+ C+ D+ B C C 10 C Oliver Gatling 25 61 B 1.45 1 6 C+ F F C+ D- B+ C D+ 11 SG | SF Alex Peeler 23 60 C+ 1.43 2+2T 6 D+ C C+ F C D C- B- 12 SG Ernest Dean 22 59 C+ 1.18 1+1T 6 C- B- C+ D C D- C- B- RES C | PF Hakeem Okocha 20 56 D+ 1.17 2+2T 0 C- F F C D- B- D+ C- RES SG Reggie Gaines 23 58 C- 3.14 1+2T 0 D+ C- D F C- D- D C+ RES Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Edited August 13, 2020 by theJ Mistake in chart

Now you have to troll the draft for more freaks so you can have an all 7 foot plus lineup for the back part of your roster, except find the shortest PG you possibly can to pair with the other 4. Shortest i've seen so far is 5'10", which is the limit when you create players.Β But i figured i could find shorter, because 7'2" is the tallest you can create and i've found 7'6" guys. theJ
A few pages back i mentioned that i'm going to embrace cap hell.Β I've kept this table for a few seasons now to try to track future cap more easily.Β I thought i'd share it. Red indicates a no trade clause Blue is a team option Green is a player option Yellow is an "assumed" contract - one i'm projecting. You can see that i'm going to be bumping pretty close to the hard cap.Β The real problems are going to start in about 3-4 seasons, when the current backups age out of being usable, and i need to find new ones but can't pay them.
