Chiefs @ Texans

One last note before I head off to bed - with the injuries piling up and a lack of experience in the front seven, don't be shocked of we see Brian Cushing suit up for this team once his suspension is lifted.

I absolutely do not want him - at all - but the Texans seem to overlook certain transgressions when it suits them. Cushing is slow, weak and injury prone when he's off the tren and dianabol, but he knows the system.

The morality of this team is dictated by who can help when it's needed. Therefore, Cushing will get a 3rd shot.

As I suspected Mercilus is done for the year with a torn pec.  Devastating losses tonight.  I could support moving McKinney, but Cole might be the better option outside.  At least we get a scrimmage against the Browns next week to figure some things out.

BTW - sorry to mention so soon, but tearing giant muscles like pecs, quads and to a lesser extent biceps/triceps is at the very least a result of poor strength training technique but also usually an indicator of steroid abuse. Roids grow muscle not tendons/ligaments so roiders eventually build muscle that overpowers the tendon (pec tear is really the pec muscle ripping the tendon from the arm bone).  Texans have got to address this recurring problem in their weight room one way or another. Remember we cut Max Bullough after finally getting popped on a roid test and Duane Brown tested positive but lawyered his way out with the  Mexican meat loophole which has subsequently been closed.  And of course, patient zero is suspended for 10 weeks.

Great game last night. Watson looks like a special talent. Sorry to bring this up so soon, but do any of you think Watt is done? Perhaps not done as an NFL player, but done at his pre injury levels. To me it looks like the punnishment and injuries are finally taking their toll on him. Never the less, it's sad when one of the stars of the league goes down.

Another great stat line for the worst cover corner in the NFL.

Kareem Jackson - Allowed 7 of 8 targets for 71 yards, 46 YAC, 1 TD, 143.2 Passer Rating Allowed.  Ranked #98 on season per PFF

In other recap news:

Snap Counts in wake of JJ & Mercilus injuries.  All snap counts were way up (like highest in past two seasons) because we couldn't get a 3rd down stop to save our lives, but a decent indicator of initial response to injury. Covington & Scarlett were the clear primary replacements with Heath & Kamalu seeing significantly more snaps.  Clowney and McKinney basically don't come off the field.  Didn't include secondary but basically Hal, Gilchrist, Jackson, Joseph play almost every snap.  Banks comes on in nickle which is over 50% of snaps.  Corey Moore has been relegated to STs since Pats game with Pleasant taking over as #3 safety altho past two weeks we haven't spent much time in dime.
