Would have been interesting if we went with Brian Burns instead of Haskins that draft year. I'm happy with how Montez is progressing though but I thought Burns was a beast coming out.

The front office wanted Burns or Montez?

And who in the front office exactly? 
 

I mean we all know Snyder wanted Haskins. I never really knew who Gruden or Kyle wanted but I knew they didn’t want Haskins. I kind of remember them wanting one of the pass rushers, either Burns or Morntez.

It was reported during the draft and the day before the front office was high on Burns and planned to take him if he was available. I guess they didn’t anticipate Haskins being there and Snyder overruling them.

Got ya and after Snyder made them take Haskins that’s when the front office decided they were going to trade up for Montez when he was still there in the 20s if someone would trade with them.
