I suppose I subconsciously relate to the time when Franco Harris was attempting to break the current rushing record....He continually ran out of bounds attempting to save wear and tear on his body....It irritated a lot of people and was a chicken sh*t way of trying to break a record....I can say I highly respected Barry Sanders for not attempting to do the same thing....To me, Emmitt Smith is a grandstander or maybe I just don't like the team he played for, and even though Adrian Peterson has had a checkered off the field past, I would much rather see him in Emmitt's shoes....
