Pats really not going to address their glaring weakness in the front 7 until day 3, Bill drafting is infuriating

Well the Pats  have LBs available tomorrow.

Also   I would take  QB  Sam Howell with one of my 4th RD picks.   I think they are over looking his talent.  Mac backup, he plays well in preseason trade him for picks!  EX Hasselbeck.

If Leo Chenal is there in the 4th, he will be hard to pass up... but if I had to pick I would still go CB. They need an outside CB.

They took Jonathan Jones replacement.. that's fine.. but they need an outside guy. The only positive is this must mean they are feeling good about Shaun Wade.

Chiefs are having a pretty good draft, and I wasn't even a big McDuffie guy

I was just trying to decide on a clear-cut winner of the draft so far… I can’t

imo.. the Chiefs, Jets, Lions, Eagles(inc. AJ Brown), Ravens  are all hitting home runs more often than not this weekend

  • Chiefs are having a very productive draft, Moore will do very well there.
  • Jets I think messed up.. should have taken Jameson Williams and RB in the 2nd was dumb.. people only dont notice it because they had 100 picks
  • Lions did very well too, paid a lot for Jameson Williams but wont matter if he is amazing. Kerby Joseph is a good pick too
  • Eagles did great, I'm not big on the Brown trade because i dont like paying big money to a WR but it is what it is.. that's the league now. Nakobe Dean will do well there because of that big DL to run behind.. assuming he is healthy.
  • Ravens let value fall to them and conned Arizona into taking Brown. I prefer Dax Hill to Hamilton .. but Travis Jones was great value. I don't like OC in the first either.

Yeah, I think the Chiefs have been my favorite so far.

I liked the Texan draft.

Groh sounded excited about Cam McGrone -mentioned him first- and Mack Wilson as guys that’ll have an expanded/bigger role next season, in his presser just now regarding a linebacker question

Seemed clear they didn’t view that as a top need.

Also, the way he was talking about how to use Thornton makes me feel like they want him to do what they expected of Harry, just with blazing speed lol.

Get me at least 2 out of this group and I will be happy going into day 3. I included my guess as to what round they would be picked .. but I'd honestly be fine if they took any of those 3rd round guys in the 2nd too ( except Cook.. don't give me a RB in the 2nd.. he's only a 94 luxury).

Multiple of these guys are late 2nd, early 3rd guys too.. so I could see a scenario where they trade back again or use a 4th to trade up from 85 to get someone they like.

WR

Christian Watson - 2nd

Skyy Moore- 2nd

John Metchie III- 2nd

Alec Pierce- 3rd

Wan'Dale Robinson- 3rd

CB

Andrew Booth Jr.- 2nd

Kyler Gordon- 2nd

Zyon McCollum- 3rd

Marcus Jones- 3rd

Cam Taylor-Britt- 3rd

Jayln Armour-Davis- 3rd

S
Jalen Pitre- 2nd
Nick Cross- 3rd

Kerby Joseph - 3rd

DL
Travis Jones- 2nd
Perrion Winfrey - 2nd

Phidarian Mathis- 3rd

Josh Paschal - 3rd

LB
Troy Andersen- 2nd

Leo Chenal- 2nd

Christian Harris- 3rd

Chad Muma- 2nd

Channing Tindall - 3rd

RB

James Cook - 3rd

Best Case Scenario is really hard.. I like so many of those guys.. as much as I would LOVE Christian Watson / Metchie.. I know they probably aren't the best picks for the team. They should probably go all defense here.

…did we get any? Lol

All drafts are a crapshoot...

but this years draft...

I wouldn't mind if they just traded back all day 3 and got future picks.

Are you talking 2023?   I haven't looked into 2023 cap space but I think someone mentioned that several players come off the books.

Marcus Jones!

They still have a chance at Perrion Winfrey, Zyon McCollum, and Jayln Armour Davis too.

Here are all the guys left that I have as potential patriots picks. I have a good feeling we see some of these guys picked, I had all the picks in my notes as fits so far.. just that I expected them to be picked later lol

  • Calvin Austin:
    • At this point I think he's worth the risk, another insanely fast guy but he also has the agility they usually look for
  • Perrion Winfrey:
    • A steal, Senior Bowl MVP, he's another pass rusher that can help this team
  • Zach Tom:
    • Most projected him to guard but he's another great athlete.. I think he could even be a developmental LT.. but more depth on the inside is good.. at least if Trent Brown gets hurt you could move Onwenu out to RT
  • Max Mitchell:
    • Developmental OT
  • Khalil Shakir:
    • I wasn't a huge fan before the draft but at this point he is turning into great value, they still need a slot guy
  • Jalyn Armour-Davis:
    • Alabama CB
  • Zyon McCollum:
    • My favorite CB prospect in the draft
  • Josh Jobe:
    • Not the athlete of the above two but Alabama connection
  • Darrian Beavers:
    • Good value here, although it looks like they don't care to get another LB
  • Tyler Badie:
    • Do it all RB
  • Pierre Strong Jr:
    • Very fast change of pace RB, if they continue looking for freak athletes.. he could be the guy
  • Kyren Williams:
    • Good 3rd down back.. but slow
  • Neil Farrell:
    • NT
  • Daniel Faalale:
    • Trent Brown
  • Otito Ogbonnia:
    • NT
  • Bo Melton:
    • Another freak athlete that would play in the slot
  • Verone McKinley:
    • Safety with good value at this point
  • Christopher Allen:
    • Always injured but huge upside, Alabama
  • Hassan Haskins:
    • RB, Michigan but not athletic freak so maybe off their board
  • Noah Ellis:
    • NT
  • Matt Araiza:
    • Punt GOD
  • Alec Lindstrom:
    • Could still go another IOL, Scar seemed to like him
  • Andrew Stueber:
    • Michigan OL, Think he could turn into a starter at RT
  • Vederian Lowe:
    • Friend of Bill Connection, could turn into a RT
  • Obinna Eze:
    • Developmental LT
  • Connor Heyward:
    • FB, 7th or UDFA
  • Cade Mays:
    • Can play all 5 positions, probably mainly an inside guy at NFL though
  • Marquan McCall:
    • NT
  • Jack Jones:
    • CB, Showed a lot of interest before the draft. Not an insane athlete but was previously highly recruited
  • Nate Landman:
    • Purely Special Teams LB
  • Isaac Taylor-Stuart:
    • USC, Seems like their kind of CB project.. could be UDFA
  • Tyler Vrabel:
    • backup OL, could be UDFA
  • Slade Bolden:
    • If they want to directly replace Meyers, he could be the guy.. could be UDFA
  • Jordan Stout:
    • The Punter they are more likely to pick
  • Isaih Pacheco:
    • Not really a pass catcher but great athlete
  • Chase Lucas:
    • Great athlete, Arizona connection
