Am I the only one that’s kinda lukewarm on giving big $$$ to a soon to be 30 year old WR?

I am too, but what about this:

It’s a 1 year deal with bigger money, we draft a replacement later, and it allows us to address trenches earlier.

I don’t see the point of it.

Rather draft a WR and use that $$$ on a longer term starter somewhere else.

Exactly this. Plug the WR hole and we’re back being able to address OT/C/CB in the draft.

I agree with you…but the long term starters available in free agency at our other needs (C/OT/CB) are non existent.

Ridley's a possibility, but I wouldn't rule out a trade offer, for another team's WR, with our 4th Rd Pick, or heck, even our 6th Rd pick, since we have 2 now...or another Pick-swap type deal...we trade our 6th, for X WR and their team's 7th...or trade our 4th for X team's 5th, makes even more sense...

Otherwise, I'd be okay with

Curtis Samuel

Marquise Brown

or...we could take a flyer on someone like Josh Reynolds, or Parris Campbell, but with the latter, how is he any better than taking a shot on Denzel Mims' fortunes...

...or...we could take a dip back in the Chase Clay'pool'...get it...har har...

Maybe we're going to go into the draft with no center.

He's pretty injury prone, no?

Whitehead is a SS.

Williams is injury prone so the deal would need to be right.

Mike Williams released.

I initially said he was a poor compliment to Pickens but the more I think about it I could see it working. I remember there was a stretch two seasons ago when Kennan Allen was out and they used Williams a ton more in the short/intermediate game and he actually excelled at it.
