I've added a couple names from the Senior Bowl

- McClendon Curtis, OT/OG, UT Chattanooga < Currently listed as an OG in draft circles; experience at LT, LG, RG

- John Michael Schmitz, OC/OG, Minnesota < Good size for a guard, played exclusively at OC at Minnesota

- Jake Andrews, OC, Troy < Good size for a guard, previous experience at LG, RG. Moved to OC in 2022

Any of the lbs that were drafted that had a high coverage grade in college and seeing how they did in their rookie year

I might look at a couple but I'm trying to be more Lions centric right now. Mainly because I enjoy doing mock drafts and this just helps me get a better handle on who are possible fits with the Lions.

We didn't see much of a difference in coverage in Walker, Asamoah, Bernard and Chenal.

Biggest drop offs: Lloyd, Anderson, Muma and Smith.

Walker has the biggest drop off in run defense and he already was average in that coming into the league.

This is likely where scheme fit is important as well as snaps.  Nakobe Dean didn't play much this year for example so his score could fluctuate a lot when he does get more snaps. And I would assume they are asking Devin Lloyd to do different things in coverage than he did in college.

Also this shows why the interviews are so important.  A lot of the guys in the pros do well when they are smart and motivated given they are going to a different system and situation and need to learn quickly.

Yeah - some of these guys didn't even show up until I filtered with "ignore min. snap counts". It also doesn't factor in guys dealing with injuries, poor scheme fits, coaching changes, etc.

Rodrigo's scores are for the year not the last several weeks, which we all agree is different than the first 7 weeks.

It's just interesting to see the differences.

Not necessarily what I was looking for but thanks for the time 😅

So what is it that you were looking for?

Specifically regarding zone coverage. Like their zone coverage scores in college compared to how they did in zone their rookie year.

Like, I want to see if drafting the best zone coverage LBs would make them the best zone coverage NFL players.
