Maye is a lot more talented, even as he adjusts to the NFL. If anyone watched Joe Milton at Michigan or Tennessee, they would not be hyping this guy. He's athletic with a big arm. He's a spot thrower, with no touch. Wildly inaccurate on short and intermediate throws.

People really need to stop falling for trailing camp hype. The moment he faces a first team defense in a live game, he will be exposed. He's not a processor and decision maker. He's a 24 year old developmental prospect with no accuracy. Good luck.

My thing with the whole looking at college thing to discredit why one rookie looks better than the other is invalidated because they are now in the NFL playing on the exact same team playing with the exact same weapons against the same defense. When one outshines the other that should be something to be looked at (especially when one is drafted third overall in the other one is in the fifth round)

Not entirely accurate, because one is taking snaps against the ones on defense while the other is playing against twos and threes.

Don't be that guy.

Sure. Consider the source and stop only reading the headline. This narrative was started by Ben Volin with the Boston Globe. He's known by Pats fans as Trollin' Volin. Contrarian who plays for clickbait.

By contrast anyone reputable has said Maye is looking exactly like what the Patriots and others thought of him: high ceiling, great on the move, good touch, solid leader, but only 21 years old and will need time to develop.

So yes, don't be that guy who reads a headline and runs with it. Talk to any Pat fans and they will quickly expel any validity of Ben Volin's article.

All of the rookie QB's looking goated so far in camp and preseason, if only Telesco had enough balls to go get one. But hey, another 5-8 win season with mediocre QB play can't hurt after we've experienced it for 2+ decades.

Remember how hard you were pimping Maye over Williams? Good times.

Caleb is about to lead one of the most explosive offense in the league as a rookie. Maye is a third stringer

Maye is #2. Get back to me in 3 years. Williams has every advantage currently. NE has awful WRs and bad Oline currently.

Neither are playing against the ones. Brissett is the starting QB and theres no QB battle. That means both are playing with the 2nd & 3rd teams

Maye might not even be in the league in 3 years

If Zach Wilson is still in the league after 3 years, I’m sure Maye will too. Even if he busts in NE. Gotta be levels of not giving AF like Jamarcus to be out of the league like that
