(Although I do think FG% is also relevant in all of this.) No I mean it isn't the only factor to determine luck. It definitely is here. Also I'd consider anything 1 fumble recovery/loss away from 500 to be neutral. Me being 8 for 14 is one away from 7 and 50%, Phoenix is half a fumble lost from 50%, etc. The only true fumble lucky teams are Rio, Lancaster and Anchorage and Rio is ridiculously high. Butte, LR, LM, and NZ are unlucky. Rest are neutral. Edited April 23 by LAOJoe
LAOJoe
I don't know how Indy is kicking so poorly with the lowest FG max distance in the league.

The sim never ceases to amaze me. In S27, IND's kicker, Jason Myers, is completing 83.33% of his FGs. During the 2023 NFL season, Jason Myers made 35 of the 42 FGs he attempted, which is 83.33%. RMIB is getting exactly what he drafted (in the 14th round).

I can see them sticking around in the playoff race (based on that info alone). Well what did you expect?

It's the metric that explains how it's possible for the team that gains the most yards and allows the fewest yards to have a worse record than a team that has the 17th worst net yards. See: TEAM REC OYDS OYRNK DARDS DYRNK NETYDS NYRNK FUMA FUMR FLUCK FRNK FG% LR 7-2 3,808 1 3,135 1 673 1 13 3 0.23 19 85.71 RIO 8-1 3,427 10 3,760 20 -333 17 19 16 0.84 1 87.50 LR is significantly better in every single category, (other than FG%, which is close), yet RIO has a better record. How? FLUCK!
Malfatron
Okay im working on what chatgpt thinks is wrong with me. I got this Looking at your players' stats, there are some standout performers like Joe Mixon and T.J. Watt, but there are also areas for improvement. Your quarterback, C.J. Stroud, has been decent but could benefit from reducing interceptions and improving his passer rating. The running game looks solid with Mixon and Conner, but Conner's fumbling and drops are concerns. Among the wide receivers, Diontae Johnson is the most productive, but there's room for more contribution from Robert Woods and Allen Lazard. Tight end David Njoku has been reliable but could work on reducing drops. On the defensive side, while T.J. Watt and Khalil Mack are generating pressure, the secondary could use more interceptions and forced turnovers. Overall, addressing turnovers, improving pass defense, and getting more consistent contributions from all positions could help boost your team's performance
