Well we're not better but we are almost as good (on paper) as last year's roster with some money to spend and the draft still looming.

I think GB and Detroit sit about same as last year. GB improved at S. RB move is a wash. Detroit improved at CB. Chicago with Swift isn't much of anything so it depends on their QB decision. Minny hasn't done anything to impress me.

So Detroit and GB at this point as 1A/1B in early going

1 year $14.5 million

Compensation update: The #Lions are trading the second of their third-round picks this year for Carlton Davis, plus a 2024 sixth-round pick and 2025 sixth-round pick.

If it is #92 it isn't so bad.  I suspect Brad Holmes will move around in the draft to recover some of that draft capital.  He has missed a significant number of games over the last few seasons.  Hopefully the Lions will keep him relatively healthy.

It’s #92, and it’s been updated to two 6ths coming back to us.

This is a pretty deep draft.  Maybe one of those picks could be used on a legit PK or a lesser-known CB prospect with good tools like Willie Drew.

It’s a 6th this year and a 6th next year.

At the very least, he is a solid CB.  The link below talks about a potential contract restructuring of some sort.

It makes you wonder about the what Kendall Fuller and Stefon Gilmore are seeking in free agency.  You would think the deep CB class would drive down the asking prices a little bit.
