kingseanjohn Posted December 18, 2017 Share Posted December 18, 2017 I don't imagine CBs get much practice running with the ball. As long as he brings it in before contact I don't mind too much. His hand size and grip strength is likely better than yours or mine. Obviously there's a chance someone could knock it out. But it rarely happens to a DB. kingseanjohn Posted December 19, 2017 Share Posted December 19, 2017 I just watched a replay of the Chargers game return. He has a firm group, no doubt while running. After moving across the field he switches the ball to the outside hand and holds it more traditionally. Before running into defenders he brings the ball in to protect it. Non-issue imo.
