Ozzy Posted July 28 Share Posted July 28 Crazy how Tatum and Haliburton have not even played. It does suck that team USA is kind of getting pushed around in the post. Embid has done very little and Bam is so short to start with, what he is 6-8, LeBron looks bigger than Bam. Does hurt going against Jokic but Serbia is not the only team that will be physically bigger than team USA. And it is not like Serbia is getting ran out of the gym either, but clearly they are helped greatly by the fact they have played together for years and this team USA was just put together honestly. Would have been nice to have the length and stretch 3 ability to Chet Holmgren but he will get his time later. Real sucky part is not having Paolo Banchero, he could have brought much needed toughness and post scoring to this roster I feel. They need some guys in the paid and not sure they have that out of the players who were finalists for team USA. Also would be nice to have toughness of Jalen Burnson at the guard position but Derrick White makes sense with his defensive ability but he is pretty thin, would be nice to have a little more stout guys in the more physical foreign play, Jimmy Butler would have helped also but not sure he is healthy.
