Just landed pick #6 and feel pretty good about it. I see a slight tier drop off after my selection and will land one of:

  1. CMC
  2. Lamb
  3. Hill
  4. Chase
  5. Jefferson
  6. Bijan

(Hall is a keeper for another user).

I will add them to JT being my 4th round keeper and Achane being my 9th rounder. Super solid base to start a team imo. Funny enough I am leaning towards Robinson if he were there at my pick, even over a WR.

Taking Robinson over Hill, Chase, Jefferson would not be wise IMO. Any three of those guys could be WR1 and completely smash fantasy this year. Especially since you have two starters at RB already. If those three are gone, be my guest. But I'd also probably go Garrett Wilson over Bijan since you have two pretty good starters.

My picks this year:

QB1: Josh Allen

RB1: Breece Hall

WR1: Tyreek Hill

TE1: Trey McBride

Sleepers/Great Value:

WR Rashee Rice

QB Deshaun Watson

RB Zamir White

RB Jerome Ford (Nick Chubb coming off a horrendous injury, almost 29 years old which is super old for a RB, and the Browns want to pass a lot this season)

WR Stefon Diggs (goes in the 4th this year.... I think he bounces back big time with Stroud and puts up Mid 2nd Round production)

WR Terry McLaurin (finally has a QB that can pass for the first time in 5 years lol)

WR Curtis Samuel (being drafted really late and Josh Allen's WR1)

WR Malik Nabers, he is gonna CRUSH this year. This guy goes in the 5th Round in regular leagues which is SUPER undervalued. In big tournaments, he goes in the 2nd Round. Smart people know!! QB doesn't matter. He's the only WR on the damn team and is super frickin good.

RB Javonte Williams, finally healthy!

RB Kenneth Walker, should beat ADP by at least 1-2 Rounds. Not a huge sleeper, but the value is there.

TE David Njoku, I think the Browns smash this season.

TE Pat Friermuth, might finally become semi-elite this season. Would be a great Low TE1 for your team that has upside. if Aiyuk goes to the Steelers, he becomes a DO NOT DRAFT.

QB Jayden Daniels, can easily rush for 700 yards and a bunch of TD's. And a good passer. He would be a fine QB1 for your team if you want to wait on QB (which is usually a good strategy).

Deep Sleepers:

WR Jalen McMillian

If Evans or Godwin goes down, this guy will destroy the NFL.

QB Drake Maye

Might not start right away, but could have a Stroud-Lite season. A QB2 to hold on your roster if you carry a QB2.

RB Will Shipley

SUPER DEEP Sleepers:

Guys you've absolutely never heard of that could be the next "Puka"

WR Jordan Whittington

WR Jamari Thrash

This is extremely simplified... but I've been playing fantasy since 1999. Waiting on QB/TE is always a good strategy IMO. Find the QB/TE sleeper you think is gonna smash and is being drafted as QB8-QB18.

Years I wait on QB/TE I usually finish Top 2. Years I don't, anywhere from 4th to 12th.

But you can win your league with Early QB or Early TE, 100%. It's fantasy, you can that championship from unlimited ways.

I agree with waiting on QB or TE.  Two I have been targeting are Burrow as a value QB and Kincaid as a good value play at TE.

I'm in a keeper league and am keeping Josh Allen however it is not as easy of a choice as in years past.  He is still young, durable and has rushing upside but my concerns are that he has no weapons and will be playing behind a D that appears to have regressed.  Allen can be prone to turnovers so if the D regresses significantly, he will be playing catch up a lot which may not be a great thing....

Playing catch up is a good thing actually. INTs are not overly important.

That depends on scoring.  In a league where you get 6pts for a passing TD, Ints are not as significant as they would be in a league where passing TD's are 4 pts.

Playing catchup can be a good thing if the game is close however if the D regresses enough they could be playing from 10+ points down late in games which can lead to riskiness which in turn can lead to turnovers.

Maybe in a 4pt -2 INT league. If it’s -1 not a big deal. But even in a +4 -2 league, I think Allen will be QB1 this year, or at least Top 3.

Barring injury I agree.  He easily should be top 3 but will he remain #1?  That is the big question.  If he ends up #3 or worse it would be smart for me to move him while his value is at an ATH.  Only if I had a crystal ball lol

Is ARSB going to be available?  I would consider him at WR as well.

I assume he will be. What I am trying to gauge essentially is Jefferson vs. Bijan vs. ASB. I assume CMC/Lamb/Hill/Chase will be gone, with two of JJ/Robinson/ASB being available for me to select. I think I have Bijan/JJ in a tier above ASB but I have seen a lot of people being extremely high on the sun god.

I am torn/

When are you guys targeting QB this year?

Not in order:

  1. Allen
  2. Mahomes
  3. Hurts
  4. Jackson
  5. Richardson
  6. Stroud
  7. Burrow
  8. Prescott
  9. Murray
  10. Purdy
  11. Love
  12. Herbert
  13. Lawrence
  14. Tua
  15. Stafford
  16. Goff
  17. Rodgers
  18. Cousins
  19. Williams
  20. Daniels

Who are you targeting and in which round is the sweet spot? Am I insane thinking one shouldn't be touching a QB until the last numbers of rounds?

QB is so deep this year. Waiting later to get one sounds like a better plan to me. I would target a combo of Burrow/Murray/Love/Purdy with Daniels as the backup / guy who will probably outplay is ADP.
