FA options were underwhelming and there wasn't a whole lot to get excited about in this draft class at edge. Burns would've cost draft capital and a huge financial investment as well. Howie boxed himself in a corner on this one and swung and missed badly on what was seemingly one of the top fa options. Burns is younger though with athletic upside. At 26 he has potential to severely outplay that contract. Also a risk but a more athletically impressive one than huff howie has missed too much at edge in the draft. But signing reddick was smart at the time, huge value. They tried to repeat the same thing with huff and it bombed it was almost an identical swing. Pass rush specialist double digit sack guy for middle of the pack money he tried to strike lightning twice big mistake

Bryce Huff is making more now than what we signed Reddick for 3 years ago, and he had double digit sacks two years in a row and for 2 different teams. Reddick wanted more money after his first year with the Eagles when he had 19.5 sacks (including playoffs) that year. It was obvious Reddick deserved more money and that this was going to become a problem for the Eagles. Reddick doesnt need 30 mill to behave, Reddick deserves more money period, and hes smart to sit out. Especially now that Jets just lost Jermaine Johnson for the year. he does deserve more money i don’t believe the eagles should be the ones to pay it. They should do a better job of replacing reddick for cheaper. reddick didn’t register a sack the final 5 weeks of the season people seem to be forgetting this. He was their best pass rusher. They needed to do a better job of replacing him.

I’d love to see those posts. I mean this is the same fanbase that made Andy Reid’s life a living hell here. The Eagles can't maintain success because we can't draft and develop players. The FO complements, sometimes masterfully, sometimes terribly with trades and FAs. That's why we get an old and expensive team every 3 years or so, why our cycles are so short, why our HC don't last or don't want to come here. But also why rebuilds are so fast. We'd win the next 5 straight SB's if he was a Eagle. Haven't you watched him play? Clearly he's an upgrade.
