RedGold
New Orleans Motivation: Looking to bounce back from a tough loss against Vegas we travel to Berlin to take on a talented team that is coming off a big win. This is a crucial game to get back to our winning ways. Offense: 70% - 3 WR 1 TE 1 RB 20% - 4 WR 1 RB 10% - 2 RB 2 WR 1 TE Plan of Attack: We look for a 55/45 Pass to Run attack this week We have four receivers with unique skill sets that will be a handful for the Berlin secondary. Rice with his YAC ability from the slot, DJ Moore with his explosiveness, Lazard with his possession and red zone ability and Brian Thomas to take the top off the defense Allen will utilize the skill set of our receivers as we flood zones and rub route against man to get our offense moving down field BTJ is our WR4 and we move Moore inside in these sets. He will also rotate some in our 3 wide sets as we utilize his vertical challenging ability paired with Allen’s rocket arm Rice will motion often to get free releases and to help Allen distinguish coverage. He and Moore are going to be fed a multitude of targets in this game. Crossers with them will feast in the middle of this defense We look to have a layered attack when not flooding zones or rubbing routes, to threaten at all levels and keep the defense honest We want to attack Rayshawn Jenkins in coverage and will look to isolate him often Ferguson is a reliable safety net underneath for Josh Jacobs and Henry will split duties 50/50 balanced with Jacobs seeing more third down work and Henry in more short yardage/goaline roles Allen will be an extension of the run game with RPO’s and designed QB runs his ability to threaten a defense with his legs puts added pressure on the Berlin D Our typical running game style will be man blocking scheme looking to get movement off the line and utilize the power of our runners to wear down this defense We will provide some back chipping and more stand in blocking against a tough Dline Defense: Nickel- Against 3 Wide Nickel Jumbo- Against 2TE, 2RB 5-2- Against Heavy sets Dime- Against 4 Wide Plan of Attack: Looking at Cover 3 Match, Single High Man, 2 High Shell Man Base is Nickel and we will utilize Fulton in the nickel l, if he can’t go Gilmore takes the nickel and while not as athletic as he once was his veteran savvy gives him a chess match upper hand in the nickel The Nickel Jumbo is just a change to the front where Armstead moves to end for Diaby and Murphy moves to DT next to Simmons We won’t play match specific on the outside with our corners Brandon Jones has been playing great football and he will move around quite a bit from box to deep, looking to disguise coverage In Single High Man Jones has Goedert, Henley has RB and Overshown has middle disruptor, bracket Goedert or an occasional blitz. 2 High Man Overshown has Goedert We will twist and stunt to give some pass rush variance, Diaby has been strong on the edge getting pressure and we believe he can get after it in this one. We will move the edges from side to side looking for the best possible matchup In Dime Gilmore comes on for Henley, we play primarily zone and Jones moves into the box for extra run support Simmons is a key for us to control the line of scrimmage and the stunts and twists will help him beat double teams and really provide some disruption looking for those one on one matchups with their oline We will get Murphy plenty of rotation in clear passing situations to help provide interior pressure next to Simmons We have a lot of speed at linebacker and believe we will be able to shoot gaps and make plays in the backfield, close on back screens/passes quickly and wreck havoc for Stroud and this offense Berlin Overview We have finally gotten into the win column. We need another to get back to .500 and save our season. Offense We want to remain balanced, stress the defense horizontally and vertically, and trust Stroud to audible and make the correct reads. NOLA is missing 3 of their top 4 INT with Hargrave, Rankins, and Murphy out this week, so we want to pound the interior and wear down those remaining guys inside. They are also missing their best ILB in Demario Davis and best S in Derwin. We want to go after the middle of their defense. Simmons is going to get double teamed frequently to limit his impact. Running Game Achane and Pollard will each get 40-45% of the snaps with Dowdle getting the rest. All 3 will be utilized in the run and pass and all 3 will run inside and out. Dowdle will be used in short yardage and late game situations to keep the chains and the clock moving. We want to run inside more this week due to NOLA injuries and sustain long drives. This will help us win TOP and keep Josh Allen off the field. Passing Game Stroud will have the ability to attack the entire field. We will go under center and from shotgun. We will utilize some play-action and rollouts. We will typically have at least one receiver pushing deep to allow Stroud to take deep shots. None of our WRs have a limited route tree, so we won’t force them into a specific role. We will trust our OL to hold up in protection and attack down the field. With no Derwin and no Demario, we also want to target Goedert frequently to test how NOLA plans on covering him. 3 WR – 60% - Garrett/Reed/Aiyuk/Goedert/RB –One of Reed or Aiyuk will typically be in motion whether it’s a quick motion outside or longer motion across the formation. All 3 will run full route trees to keep the defense from being able to key on one guy, but we will lways have a WR working the middle to test the NOLA replacements. We will on occasion give a jet sweep look to Reed to force the defense to flow sideways. We will have a balanced run-pass ratio from this set with Stroud having the ability to change the play at the line. Drake will rotate in if any WR needs a breather to give the defense a different type of WR to defend. 2 TE – 10% - Garrett/Aiyuk/Goedert/Darnell – We will use this in mostly short yardage and goalline situations with Darnell coming in as an additional blocker and large target. 4 WR – 20% - Garrett/Drake/Aiyuk/Reed/RB – We will typically be out of shotgun here and will spread out the defense allowing Stroud to make his reads and get the ball out quick. We will use some draws and screens here to make their DL run and tire them out even more. 2 RB – 10% - Garrett/Aiyuk/Goedert/Achane/Pollard – With no Demario, we are going to use both RBs on the field at the same time. We will split at least one of them out as we want to get their young LBers out in space and force them to make the right read and tackle in space. Look for some quick passes with blockers in front to get some cheap yards. Defense We will play a bit more zone than man this week to keep eyes towards the backfield with the primary coverages being Cover 1 Man and Cover 3 Zone. We will mix in a little Cover 2 Man, Cover 2 Zone, and Cover 4 Zone just to keep Josh honest. DL – Trey, Nick, and Quinnen will play as many snaps as possible. Mazi, Tillery, and DaVon will rotate at the other DT spot with DaVon getting more pass rushing opportunities and Mazi and Tillery working more on early downs. Mazi gets in increase in snaps this week to help control the interior. LB – In nickel, Zaire will spy Josh Allen. He will sit in a middle zone and follow Josh Allen if he tries to escape the pocket. Jordyn will have the TE in nickel and spy Josh Allen in 4 WR sets. In 2 TE, Zaire will play MLB and play the spy/middle zone while Kyzir and Jordyn each have a TE. CB – Deonte will follow Brian Thomas Jr and Christian will follow D.J. Moore. Witherspoon will play the slot and follow Rashee Rice everywhere he goes. If they go base, Deonte comes off and Devon plays outside. If they go 4 wide, Terrion comes in for Zaire and plays the other slot. S – Bynum will play deep all game. Rayshawn will play up in the box and have the RB in man coverage as we want to limit their RBs before they can get a head of steam. Damn sorry Lukic… it was a lot for me to check injuries for three teams… I even left Vita Vea out of my own game

Scoundrel
So obviously Latu and/or Preston Smith would have to fill in some at DT which is not ideal at all

InjuredReserve
2nd week in a row that Berlin is "stress the defense horizontally and vertically". I truly do not know how much more stress Berlin's opponents can take.

InjuredReserve
My vote is Berlin. They claw their way back from 2-2 with a gameplan well suited to run and seize on the difficult injury situation of the Jazz. Lukic's boys still make this close with Josh Allen leading that offense and the questions I still have on the slow start of the Berlin passing attack don't make this any kind of a runaway victory. But, a well suited gameplan is here to get Berlin a win.
