Problem being, the uncertainty of how he comes back from injury. Could be that market value is disastrously high if he isn't quite the same. At least that. I think it's basically an assumption at this point that he'll end up being tagged. Unless they just come together on a 1-year deal in that sort of $$$ ballpark anyway instead. Unless this front office take that and balk at his demands, and end up letting him walk and give all the money to Lee instead. Which would be stupid, and make for a very grumpy forum here. Wouldn't want him rushing back too early just for OTAs...but assuming it's well within his recovery timeline, they could be a great opportunity for him to ease back into things in a less intense/strenuous setting coming off a major injury like that.
