That's probably about right. Problem being, the uncertainty of how he comes back from injury. Could be that market value is disastrously high if he isn't quite the same. But he absolutely has the potential to drive his market value up even more with the sort of strong healthy year he's capable of.

I mean that’s kinda about right. If Dak was on the market, you don’t think the Browns would throw $25 mill at him? QB contracts are absolutely absurd. Go win as many as you can while Wentz is on his rookie deal, because things aren’t going to be as fun when he signs a $35m/year deal.

Honestly..."market value" on quality starting QBs seems to basically be..."whatever the last guy got, plus a bit more".

If Robinson's demands are higher than what you anticipate JAX wants to pay, what are the odds you expect him to be tagged?

95%?

At least that.  I think it's basically an assumption at this point that he'll end up being tagged.  Unless they just come together on a 1-year deal in that sort of $$$ ballpark anyway instead.

Unless this front office take that and balk at his demands, and end up letting him walk and give all the money to Lee instead.  Which would be stupid, and make for a very grumpy forum here.

Would rather he sit those out

Why?  If he's ready...he's ready, no?  Wouldn't want him rushing back too early just for OTAs...but assuming it's well within his recovery timeline, they could be a great opportunity for him to ease back into things in a less intense/strenuous setting coming off a major injury like that.  Can't bubble wrap him and leave him on the shelf forever.  He's gonna have have to come back and go full out at some point.
