CHICAGO BULLS (27-55) - THE 2018 OFF-SEASON

The playoffs are just hours away from starting for most teams, but for the Bulls the off-season is in full swing as we prepare for the draft lottery on May 15, in, you guessed it, Chicago.

After finishing the season with a record of 27-55 and salvaging the tank in the last days of the season, it is safe to say that the tanking job wasn't a disaster as it looked at some points during the season (aka that time when Nikola Mirotić straight out refused to lose a game of basketball) and with the Kings' win on the last day of the season we secured a tie for the 6th spot pre-lottery.

Yesterdays coin flip (not really a coin flip) secured us the 6th spot in the lottery (if none of the teams above us get the top3 pick) with a modest 5.3% chance of getting the number one overall pick.

If we manage to hold on to the top6 pick we are most likely to draft either one of Deandre Ayton — Luka Dončić — Jaren Jackson Jr. — Michael Porter Jr. — Marvin Bagley — Mohamed Bamba.

So, as we prepare for the draft lottery next month we have plenty of time to look back at the past season which saw Lauri Markkanen shine as our lottery pick, Kris Dunn improve his game massively after a bad rookie year in Minnesota and Zach LaVine return from an ACL tear, as well as taking a deeper look at some of the top prospects which could end up in Chicago in a couple of months.

Notable off-season dates:

May 15: NBA Draft Lottery (Chicago)

May 16-20: NBA Draft Combine (Chicago)

June 11: NBA Draft Early Entrant Withdrawal Deadline (5 p.m. ET)

June 21: NBA Draft 2018

Same here, don't mind the deal at all.

We took all the necessary precautions with that contract, so there's really nothing to lose. One more young, interesting player who could be a lot of fun if he finally stays healthy.
