DRAFT DAY- Round 1 Discussion

Recommended Posts

It'd be such a Belichick move to go offense in a draft portion that's so hot on defense.

Plenty of value here on both sides of the ball. My gut is saying Josh Jackson

After Hughes he was one of my favorite CBs.  But some of his game didnt seem like BB fit w/ his softness when tackling and run support.

Hoping Bill agrees and doesn't like Jackson as a fit. Man corners are the move.

Didn't think he'd be on our radar with the fumbles but I don't hate it. Wonder how they plan on using him.

Getting Rivers back might be expected to play a big role as a pass rusher.

I probably shouldnt have talked so much crap about UGA at work

And there goes Lamar

Alright then, fellas.

All seriousness, can't be upset with the two picks tonight. We got an offensive linemen that could play just about any position successfully and a good all-purpose running back to add in with a bruiser, a pure pass catcher, and a gasher. The defense still needs some help, but it's hard to say the offense isn't looking a lot better after tonight.

Couldn't be happier.

The Lamar thing confirmed as a smokescreen as I expected.

Two really good SEC CS to help Brady out and replace guys who left.

Just need to grab some defensive depth in the 2nd and 3rd and we are set for the next 5ish years.

Michel, the player and value at that pick is outstanding. I love it. I thought he was the best RB after Barkley....

Kinda surprised teams didnt move up to grab a S.  Not a fan of RB in the first but I dont hate it.  Plenty of good talent at 9 at DB and even front 4.

On a side note, I hope Steve Smith isn't invited for the rest of the draft broadcast. He's cringe worthy...
