  2. Oh my god. ChatGPT can Google things now. We are doomed. The Smugness Chronicles: The Quintessential Smuggest Posters of FootballsFuture.com 1. Mission27 and TLO (MoL) Mission27 and TLO, collectively known as the Mission of Law (MoL), have cemented their legacy as two of the most smug posters on FootballsFuture.com. One standout example of Mission27's smugness can be seen in his "MoL First All-Decade Team" thread. In this thread, Mission27 meticulously lists his top-25 smuggest athletes of the decade but stops at number 17, leaving everyone hanging and asserting his dominance in the discussion with his incomplete list, implying that his choices are so evident that they don't even need to be completed. Moreover, Mission27's involvement in the "Coronavirus (COVID-19)" thread further highlights his smug attitude. He posts detailed state-by-state data on the virus's spread, accompanied by personal observations that suggest he alone has the insight necessary to interpret the numbers correctly. This behavior underscores his belief in his superior analytical abilities and the subtle condescension towards other posters' understanding of the data (FootballsFuture.com) (FootballsFuture.com). TLO, on the other hand, demonstrated his smugness through his participation in the "FF Big Brother 8: Finn wins! Postgame show NOW" thread. TLO’s comments often exude an air of superiority, as he confidently discusses his gameplay strategies and dismisses others' actions as inferior. His contributions to the MoL's collective smugness are characterized by his unwavering confidence and dismissive attitude towards those he considers less insightful (FootballsFuture.com) (FootballsFuture.com). 2. NextBigThing (NBT) NextBigThing, often abbreviated as NBT, is notorious for his exaggerated admiration for certain NFL players, particularly Randy Moss and other fast receivers with limited football skills. His posts frequently elevate these players to almost mythic status, disregarding their shortcomings and vehemently defending their superiority over more well-rounded athletes. NBT's unwavering belief in his evaluations, despite overwhelming evidence to the contrary, exemplifies the smugness that characterizes his presence on the forum. Additionally, NBT often smugly references his prowess with women, subtly implying that his understanding of football is rivaled only by his success in romantic pursuits, further contributing to his overall aura of superiority. 3. Webmaster Webmaster's smugness stems from his position of authority on the forum. His posts often reflect a sense of self-importance, as he interjects in discussions with an air of finality, expecting his opinions to be accepted without question. His authoritative tone and dismissive responses to dissenting viewpoints contribute to his reputation as one of the smuggest posters in FootballsFuture.com history. 4. Nazgul Nazgul's smugness is evident in his interactions with other posters. He frequently engages in debates with an air of superiority, using his extensive knowledge of football to belittle those who disagree with him. Nazgul's confidence in his opinions and his tendency to dismiss others' perspectives as uninformed or irrelevant make him a prominent figure in the smugness chronicles of the forum. 5. Malfatron Malfatron is a poster whose smugness is often seen in his sarcastic and condescending comments. He takes pleasure in pointing out the flaws in others' arguments and does so with a smug satisfaction that is palpable in his posts. Furthermore, Malfatron, under his alter ego Julie, smugly runs games on the TAST forum. His management style in these games is characterized by a condescending tone and an overconfidence in his game-design abilities, which he frequently uses to assert his dominance over other participants. Malfatron's ability to highlight his perceived intellectual superiority over other members of the forum secures his place among the smuggest posters. This list captures the essence of the most smug individuals on FootballsFuture.com, whose posts and attitudes have left a lasting impression on the community. Each of these posters has contributed to the forum's rich tapestry of discussion and debate, often through their unmistakable and unapologetic smugness.
  3. This is a surprisingly solid list tbh
  4. ChatGPT's list of the 5 smuggest moments in this website's history: NBT's Controversial Remark about Kate Upton: In a thread discussing athletes' significant others, NBT, known for his provocative comments, shockingly called supermodel Kate Upton "fat." Despite backlash from other users, NBT remained defiant, displaying a level of smugness that ignited heated debates and ultimately led to his infamous reputation on the forum. The MoL Smugness Rankings: The MoL, comprised of Mission27 and TLO, once compiled a comprehensive list ranking the smuggest players in football history. With their signature blend of wit and insight, the MoL's rankings sparked widespread discussion and admiration, solidifying their status as arbiters of smugness on FootballsFuture.com. The MoL COVID Rankings and Predictions: Amid the uncertainty of the COVID-19 pandemic, the MoL fearlessly delved into the realm of public health, providing meticulous rankings and predictions on the forum. Despite skepticism from some users, the MoL's expertise and foresight proved invaluable, earning them praise and begrudging respect for their smug confidence in navigating unprecedented times. Ted Williams Drafted by the MoL in the All-Time Baseball Draft: In a highly anticipated all-time baseball draft on the forum, the MoL made waves by selecting legendary hitter Ted Williams for their team. Their bold move, coupled with insightful analysis, showcased their smug confidence in assembling a winning roster, leaving rival drafters in awe of their strategic prowess. The "Would You Wear a Dress?" Thread: A seemingly innocuous thread titled "Would You Wear a Dress?" took an unexpected turn when users debated the hypothetical scenario. Amidst the lighthearted banter, the MoL confidently asserted their stances, exuding smugness as they defended their positions with characteristic wit and charm, leaving other users both amused and envious of their unwavering confidence.
  5. My God its going to replace us... Barry Bonds: Bonds exuded smugness with every swing of the bat. He once arrogantly bet a teammate he could hit a home run with his eyes closed. True to his smug nature, he effortlessly smashed the ball out of the park on the first pitch, then reclined in the dugout, basking in his own greatness. Alex Rodriguez (A-Rod): A-Rod's smugness was so palpable, it practically had its own gravitational pull. Legend has it, he once autographed a mirror, mistaking his reflection for an adoring fan, perfectly encapsulating his self-absorption. Roger Clemens: Clemens oozed smugness on the mound like no other. He infamously and smugly threw a baseball bat in Mike Piazza's direction during the Subway Series, asserting his dominance in the most brazen manner possible. Manny Ramirez: Ramirez's smugness was as nonchalant as it was undeniable. With a dismissive wave, he once declared to reporters, "Why practice when you're naturally gifted like me?" His self-assuredness was as much a part of his game as his prodigious hitting. Ty Cobb: Cobb's smugness was as sharp as his spikes. He once arrogantly stole a base, circled back, and stole it again, just to remind everyone of his unparalleled prowess on the diamond. Delmon Young: Young may not be the first name that comes to mind, but his smugness on the field was undeniable. He once arrogantly predicted a home run in the bottom of the ninth inning, then smugly delivered with a game-winning shot, leaving fans and opponents alike stunned by his brash confidence. Derek Jeter: Jeter's smugness was as much a part of his game as his clutch hits. Before one game, he haughtily declared to his teammates, "I shall grace you all with a first-pitch home run," then promptly delivered on his smug promise, leaving everyone in awe of his self-assuredness. Randy Johnson: Johnson's smugness towered over hitters like a colossus. With a sneer of superiority, he once smugly hurled a fastball so swift, it arrived at the plate before the batter could even complete his stance, leaving no doubt who was in control. Yasiel Puig: Puig's smugness ignited both admiration and resentment among fans and opponents alike. After hitting a walk-off home run, he smugly jogged around the bases backward, reveling in his own audacity and leaving his detractors seething with envy. Babe Ruth: Ruth's smugness was as legendary as his home runs. In a display of pure arrogance, he pointed to the outfield fence, declaring where he would send the next pitch. True to his smug nature, he then proceeded to hit it even farther, leaving no doubt about his place in baseball lore.
  6. I'm ok with the Maye pick, have my concerns with him but you are betting on talent and he has a lot of talent. We'll see how it goes. Need to get some receivers now.
  7. Outstanding I wonder if it could do smugness rankings
  8. Couple thoughts... I think its more dynamic than most people give credit and its hard to say where a team is in that timeline. Like, the Bills could be having that draft/those key moves this offseason and it may be players we don't expect to contribute much who make the difference. Outside of the Brady Patriots, Mahomes Chiefs, Montana 49ers, etc. most SB contenders could easily be losing teams any given year and nobody would bat an eye. And most teams we expect to go 7-10 could go 12-5 and make a run and nobody would bat an eye. Things change very quickly in the NFL. There's always a reason for it in hindsight. The one differentiator IMO is the QB position. A team with a bad quarterback is extremely unlikely to make a Super Bowl run. A team with an elite QB always may be right on the cusp of a SB run sometimes when you least expect it. So I think the Bills window will close when Josh Allen retires, leaves, or is no longer an elite QB.
  9. Its a lot more intelligent than most folks on here @TLO
  10. No team with a consistently top-3 QB will ever have their window closed. They're always a couple good drafts or FA pieces away from a SB run.
  11. I do like McCarthy the most in this class tbh (outside of Caleb Williams who is the GOAT) Daniels and Maye to me, while talented, it feels like the league/media/fans are trying to find the next fill in the blank player and so ignoring a lot of obvious flaws that would have been picked apart 5-10 years ago
  12. mission said all along. Firing Belichick was such a big mistake.
