NBA 2K19

I'm really torn on what size and position to make my pure lockdown defender.  I think I'm leaning more towards small forward, but I'm not sure which size to make him.  Seems like he general consensus for a SF pure lock is 6'10" with max wingspan.

The new three inch rule introduced in 2K19 has kind of changed how some people build their players.

Apparently once you hit 94 overall, your takeover last longer if you're a pure build.  If you have two different archetypes, such as a Playmaking Sharpshooter, for example, your take over will switch between the two and you get it for both.  That seems crazy.

I didn't know about this until now, but if you hit 95 overall the game allows you to create a 2nd MyPlayer that starts off as an 89 overall and has all maxed out primary badges.  So for example, when my pure shot creating PG gets to 95 overall, I can create a pure stretch 4 which will instantly have:

HoF Catch and Shoot, HoF Pick & Popper, HoF Deep Range Deadeye, Gold Limitless Range and Gold Corner Specialist.

That's pretty sick.

That’s sick but getting to 95 will be brutal.  I’ve played about 120 Park games, 25ish nba games and 20ish Jordan center games and I just hit 89 OVR.  Plus I do the max allowed practices to work on badges after each nba game.  I can’t even imagine how long it will take to get to 95 ovr.

Finally got hall of fame midrange deadeye badge.  Damn this stuff is an insane grind.  Almost have hall of fame difficult shots, which will be easier to focus on because I can use my drills in practice on that as well as getting points for it in game.

Well, ever build in the game is different.  I've seen people go from 88 to 90 in one bar.  Some people get three bar'd.... meaning it takes them 3 full cap breaker bars to go up 1 level.  Overall, I think there are a certain amount of bars every player has to go through, it's just that you get double or triple bar'd at different times.

It takes me two bars to gain a level every time.

If it's taking your two bars now, then you'll have single bars later on.  I've seen people get double bar'd at 88 and then they might have a single bar at 95.  Some people get triple bar'd at some points... must be rough.
