He told them they wouldn't discuss it, and so the McNair's attorney went to the press and got all of this dug up. Maryland had a chance to do the right thing and admit fault. They're upset now because they got caught. http://www.baltimoresun.com/news/maryland/investigations/bs-md-mcnair-video-denial-20181003-story.html Quote Somewhere — perhaps on a computer in College Park — is surveillance footage of University of Maryland football player Jordan McNair’s final practice. But the university isn’t sharing it. Media outlets haven’t been allowed to see it. Neither has the law firm that’s been representing McNair’s family since the 19-year-old offensive lineman died of heatstroke following an outdoor practice in College Park. And the attempted cover up is on now. There is no reason to postpone releasing the tapes except that they're damaging and Maryland would want to settle first. WeaponX
I want to say I’m surprised this is moving so slowly but I’m not.

What happens if it magically gets deleted like a vote in Georgia?

It's a civil case they don't have to turn over everything unless compelled by a judge, plus Maryland's legal department would lose the tape before they'd turn it over. Thelonebillsfan
Ah the time honored strategy of attempting to bleed the complainant of all their money in a protracted legal battle. Nice to see the university and the state learned their lesson.

Despite being from the state, I've never rooted for Maryland for any of their sports, but I've never disliked them until now. With Matt Canada doing a pretty good job as head coach, it is the perfect time to let Durkin go and move in a new direction. How they are continuing to keep him on admin leave, and on top of it not distribute this tape, is crazy.
