TheRealMcCoy
Now they are trading him... lmao They signed him for barely anything and now might get a pick for him a couple weeks later.

But, why are they trading him at all? Why didn't that signing work out?

Mackensie Akexander hasn't performed well in the slot, he's not ready. MN originally had an interest in signing Brock, I'm not surprised by this move. MightBeASeahawksFan
It hasn't been 100% openly stated why Brock was traded so soon after he signed. The popular theory is that the Seahawks have been trying to trade Kearse and Jeremy Lane to free up space for Sheldon for some time. When the Seahawks couldn't trade Lane for anything they liked they restructured Baldwin's contract to free up roughly Lane's dead cap space worth of money today before getting Sheldon. Anyway, if this is the case the theory goes that now that Lane is staying Brock is just pushed off the 53 man. If they'd traded Lane then Brock was insurance. Heimdallr
With how bad Alexander was in the preseason, adding Brock definitely cannot hurt. Having both Brock and Terence Newman as veteran depth is great.
