This is before or after Milanovic's interim tag?

He didn't even get the OC tag. He's still QB coach with playcall duties.

I thought it sounded like Kingsbury was probably going to USC?

He probably is.

Just evidence that we did indeed have interest/offered him the position.

hes still going thru his offers and such.  im sure hed pick an NFL OC job over a college OC job even with a HC under that tight of a leash.

I wouldn't be so sure of that.  Some guys really like a cushy ol' NCAA gig.  Especially if it's something like the USC job, that might offer him a fast-track to HC of a big powerhouse recruiting talent factory like that.  There's a lot of potential control in that, and it can be a more stable situation if you do it well.  Whereas an OC job with a short-leash HC like Marrone could be a one and done and he's back out on the street in a year looking for an opportunity as good as the USC one.

Some guys seem to really want the challenge of taking on an NFL job.  Others just seem comfortable when they've got more control and can build up a real talent advantage in the NCAA.  It's not like top college coaches and top coordinators don't make $$$.

Packers fired Mike McCarthy.

From the sounds of it he's going to be the favorite in Cleveland.

And there it goes.

Don't really blame him one bit for that.  It's probably a better situation for him long term.  He'll be the HC there soon enough, with a lot more stability/security than walking into a tenuous Jacksonville situation with a rookie QB.
