ChaRisMa
1. Arizona Cardinals - Joey Bosa, Edge, Ohio St. ~ Unless they DO trade Rosen, Arizona needs to get the best defender in the draft, even if that defender doesn't seem very down to earth. 2. San Francisco 49ers - Josh Allen, Edge, Kentucky. ~ Its either Bosa or Allen for the 9ers in my mind, and they probably prefer Allen. 3. New Jersey Jets - Quinnen Williams, DL, Alabama. ~ Jets have Mike Pennel as their NT at the moment. 4. Oakland Raiders - Ed Oliver, DL, Houston. ~ Raiders have made holes everywhere, so expecting them to simply take the best player available. 5. Tampa Bay Buccaneers - Devin White, ILB, LSU. ~ Tampa Bay needs someone to get sideline to sideline as bad as anyone. 6. New Jersey Giants - Kyler Murray, QB, Oklahoma. ~ Murray falls to 6 and the Giants suddenly have a plan. 7. Jacksonville Jaguars - Jawaan Taylor, T, Florida. ~ Foles protection. 8. Detroit Lions - Greedy Williams, CB, LSU. ~ Lions happy to grab the years top CB. 9. Buffalo Bills - Andre Dillard, T, Washington St. ~ Gotta protect Josh Allen. 10. Denver Horsefaces - Dwayne Haskins, QB, Ohio St. ~ Now that he doesn't have Peyton Manning, we're watching John Elway struggle. I don't think he can go another hair implant without getting a new QB to call the future, and he's in luck in this situation because he gets to be the horse face on everyones TV showing off his QB. 11. Cincinatti Bengals - Jonah Williams, T, Alabama. ~ Cincy deserves ten years of stability after Andre Smith. 1.12 Green Bay Packers - TJ Hockenson, TE, Iowa. 6'5" 251 LBS. Age 22. 4.71 Forty. ~ I want Ed Oliver. But at least Free Agency has given us total freedom to take the best player who isn't a QB. I'm going to take Hockenson to replace Graham as soon as Hock no longer looks like a rookie. Everything about this guy says he should be a ten year starter. I hate taking TEs in the 1st, but if the board falls this way Hockenson is my pick. Load up the playbook with 1RB, 2WR, 2TE. Jones, Adams, Allison, Graham, Hockenson. With the last three coming off the field frequently enough to continue developing the young WRs. This article written by some random dude is a pretty solid breakdown of Hockenson with some fun plays laid out. 1.13 Miami Dolphins - Drew Lock, QB, Missouri. ~ QB starved team takes QB. 1.14 Atlanta Falcons - Christian Wilkins, DL, Clemson. ~ Dan Quinn's defense needs to be strong and disruptive and Wilkins would be a nice fit. 1.15 Washington Redskins - DK Metcalf, WR, Mississippi. ~ Paul Richardson is the number 1. Josh Doctson is the number 2. Theres nothing for talent after that. 1.16 Carolina Panthers - Montez Sweat, DE, Mississippi St. ~ Pretty solid team tbh. They need a Peppers replacement. 1.17 New York Giants - Rashan Gary, ATH, Michigan. ~ Giants crap their pants excited to get Kyler Murray and Gary to be franchise players. 1.18 Minnesota Vikings - Cody Ford, OL, Oklahoma. ~ Spielman always drafts need round 1. 1.19 Tennessee Titans - Brian Burns, Edge, Florida St. ~ Titans should have Burns on top of their hopes list. 1.20 Pittsburgh Steelers - Devin Bush, LB, Michigan. ~ If Cincy holds it's wad on Bush at 11, Pittsburgh is most likely the floor. 1.21 Seattle Seacocks - Byron Murphy, CB, Washington. ~ Secondary is a mess out west. 1.22 Baltimore Ravens - AJ Brown, WR, Mississippi. ~ Pairing Lamar up with a playmaker. 1.23 Houston Texans - Deandre Baker, CB, Georgia. ~ Houston has a pair of 2nd rounders to solve whatever issues they have beyond zero depth at CB. 1.24 Oakland Raiders - Clellin Ferrell, DE, Clemson. ~ One of the two late 1st round Oakland choices are the floor for Ferrell. 1.25 Philadelphia Eagles - Dalton Risner, T, Kansas St. ~ Stalwart Jason Peters is 38 and on a one year contract, Lane Johnson to LT 2020. 1.26 Indianapolis Colts - Parris Campbell, WR, Ohio St. ~ One more weapon and then Indy can pack on depth defensively. 1.27 Oakland Raiders - Marquise Brown, WR, Oklahoma. ~ Gruden double downs on the related Brown WRs. 1.28 Los Angeles Chargers - Dexter Lawrence, DL, Clemson. ~ Mebane is 34 and they have nothing behind him and Justin Jones to anchor the line. 1.29 Seattle Seahawks via KC - Jaylon Ferguson, Edge, Louisiana Tech. ~ Frank Clark replacement. 1.30 Green Bay Packers - Juan Thornhill, FS, Virginia. 6' 205 LBS. 4.42 Forty. ~ He trucks a ref on accident at 1:30. Thornhill is indeed a sleeper for us at pick 30. Forward and reverse geared safety. Awesome athleticism. Ball skills. I like Adderley and Rapp as well, but I'm fully expecting a couple Safties to come off the board between 30 and 44, so I'm taking my pick of the litter and that's Thornhill. 1.31 Los Angeles Rams - Garrett Bradbury, C, NC St. ~ Rams grab a top player at a devalued position. 1.32 New England Patriots - Noah Fant, TE, Iowa. ~ Gronk gone. 2.1.33 Arizona Cardinals - N'keal Harry, WR, Arizona St. ~ Local prospect helps Josh Rosen sell tickets for a year with Fitzgerald. 2.2.34 Indianapolis Colts via NYJ- Jeffery Simmons, DL, Mississippi St. ~ Colts take the redshirt season in exchange for the talent. 2.3.35 Oakland Raiders - Josh Jacobs, RB, Alabama. ~ Raiders first four picks are Oliver, Ferrell, Hollywood, and Jacobs. 2.4.36 San Francisco 69ers - Hakeem Butler, WR, Iowa St. ~ Big target needed for Garoppolo at WR. 2.5.37 New York Giants - Jerry Tillery, DL, Notre Dame. ~ Giants have trash at DL and Tillery is BPA. 2.6.38 Jacksonville Jaguars - Chauncey Gardner-Johnson, S, Florida. ~ Jags need a Safety and this is the local kid. 2.7.39 Tampa Bay Buck an ears - Johnathan Abram, S, Mississippi St. ~ Kentrell Brice is a starter there right now. 2.8.40 Buffalo Bills - Chris Lindstrom, G, Boston College. ~ Buffalo takes Lindstrom to help operate their Josh Allen oriented destined for failure offense. 2.9.41 Denver Broncos - Deionte Thompson, S, Alabama. ~ Denver needs a playmaker from the safety spot. 2.10.42 Cincinatti Bengals - Daniel Jones, QB, Duke. ~ Andy Dalton's career has been swirling the drain for a while. 2.11.43 Detroit Lions. - Kaleb McGary, T, Washington. ~ Detroit needs someone who can challenge for a starting spot and back up multiple spots. 2.44 Chase Winovich, LB, Michigan. 6'3" 256 LBS. 4.59 Forty. ~ Classic Try Hard with a hockey player's mentality to hit. He does seem to have some underrated athleticism to pass rush with and his run defense is aided by his relentless motor and willingness to attack. 3.75 Preston Williams, WR, Colorado State. 6'4" 211 LBS. 4.52 Forty (unofficial, Pro Day). ~ “The sky is the limit for Preston Williams,” said Alvis Whitted, Williams’ former position coach now with the Green Bay Packers. “He’s just truly gifted and he can do it all. Every scout that has come through Colorado State knows the type of player he is and the type of system he’s been in, a true pro-style offense. Now, it’s about continuing to learn to be a pro every day in every aspect of your life.” 4.114 Jonathan Love, RB/KR, Stanford. 5'9" 200 LBS. 4.35-4.5 Forty. ~ Very high character person, very high caliber athlete. Undersized with questions to match in pass protection and injury history. 4.118 Gary Johnson, ILB, Texas. 6' 226 LBS. 4.43 Forty. ~ Struggles to handle Guards at that size but a lot of raw talent. Special Teams. 5.150 Greg Gaines, DL, Washington. 6'1" 312 LBS. Fat Guy 40. ~ Lunch pail crap eater to develop. 6.185 Alex Bars,G, Notre Dame. 6'6" 312 LBS. Fat Guy Forty. ~ Big time recruit never put it together. Depth. 6.194 Cole Tracy, K, LSU. ~ Need another leg. 7.226 Brian Wallace, T, Arkansas. 6'5" 326 LBS. Fat Guy 40. ~ Another big time recruit lots to reconstruct and put together here. Undrafted Free Agency: Alec Ingold, RB, Wisconsin. 6'1" 242 LBS. 4.89 Forty ~ Camp Body with a chance to stick as a change of pace runner and short yardage package FB/RB. A Green Bay Native who could be a fun fan favorite if he can fit into a John Kuhn mold. Cuts Mason Crosby, K, Age 35. ~ Sorry, Mason, I can cut you and save 3 Million Dollars. That might not seem like a lot to save by cutting a good Kicker, but you aren't a good Kicker. Re-signings Mo Wilkerson, DE, Age 30. 1 year deal. ~ He gambled on himself last year by signing a one year deal and lost big time with a season ending injury. This year we should be able to sign him to a similar one year deal and gamble on him outproducing that contract. There is said to be mutual interest, so I'm thinking it's a matter of health and time until he signs. wgbeethree
To paraphrase System of a Down. "I'd cry if charisma got to decide...." Then a bunch of mumbling followed by yelling.
Joe
I would have no problems with selecting Bryce Love on Day 3 at all. Ranking wise, Thornhill's a reach, but I argue with the rankings on that one...nice work.
Leader
Love the descriptive stuff...... Murray falls to 6 and the Giants suddenly have a plan. If Cincy holds it's wad on Bush at 11, Pittsburgh is most likely the floor. Gruden double downs on the related Brown WRs. Seattle Seacocks Denver Horsefaces Buffalo takes Lindstrom to help operate their Josh Allen oriented destined for failure offense. and my favorite: Lunch pail crap eater to develop. Cadmus
Not my cup of tea, but I learned awhile ago that you and I rarely see eye to eye on the NFL draft. However, I do like Gary Johnson a lot, and I think he's a player that hasn't been discussed enough on here (along with David Long- WVU linebacker). I was talking to @JBURGE about him earlier this week. I actually considered putting Johnson in my own mock instead of Tranquill.
