Daniel Jones is looking better than Haskins

A QB who had a 102 rating and outplayed Jones on his own team ( 3 less of those pesky fumbles) in preseason was cut.

Lauletta is terrible and you're the only one obsessed with preseason stats. If you'd actually watch either of them play instead of formulating an opinion based on the box score, you'd know why one was cut, and why everyone is hyped up about the other. But if you are formulating opinions based on the box score, you can't even do that right, because Jones had a 137 rating. Much more importantly than his stats, Jones made the correct reads, went through progressions, showed good mechanics, pinpoint accuracy and zip on the ball.  He showed off the skills you want in a franchise quarterback, and he hasn't even debuted his athleticism.

On the other hand, Lauletta looked terrible.  Not only was he truly playing against 4rth stringers, he made it look difficult.  Bad accuracy, lackluster arm strength.  And again, that jives with everything we've been hearing out of training camp.  He's been in a battle with Alex Tanney for the #3 QB and he lost.  Nice to see the Eagles picking up the Giants scraps.

People rightfully formed the opinion that the #4 and #6 picks were by reaches

That doesn't appear to be the case now, does it?

Your snarky fake vengance attitude changes nothing. An opinion on a draft pick is a basic of NFL football. Next you will tell us to stop watching the draft because our dirty opinions of it are offensive to  you.

We know that consensus opinions, which are formulated by the great Mel Kipers and Todd McShays of the world, are always right.  This is why top 10 picks are always superstars, first rounders are always probowlers, second rounders are always good, third rounders are always okay, and everyone beyond the fourth round is always chopped liver. Honestly, why do teams even draft? Just assign players to teams automatically based on Kipers draft board.

Jones at 6 is an awful pick until he is playing in the NFCCG.

Give it two years

Give it 2 years is the opposite of your attacks on us for daring to have an opinion on draft night and not being delusional about preseason.

The problem is your basic logic approach to the problem.

Jones the player was not awful in the preseason and he was in fact very good in the preseason.

Your false assumption is that you think it validates a #6 selection.

The problem with this myopic take on transaction analysis is that the Texans just robbed Miami if you apply the same logic.

Tunsil absolutely is a very good player. Any draft capital spent on him is meaningless because he is good. (this is your argument about a lesser Jones)

Its not us parroting Kiper. Its the entire free world knowing the pick was absolutely pathetic and you crying about it as a Giants homer.

So Gettleman took the Kiko Alonso of QBs at 6 instead of the Trev Albert of QBs. The pick was still franchise crippling.

Maybe we should give guys like Tim Couch and Jamarcus Russell another chance... they may have been good in the preseason so they might have been solid picks, right?
