That should buy him 2 years. His recruiting and off-season strength and conditioning program are two things we've never seen run this well at our program, so willing to give him leash to have it hopefully transfer to this field. For this year? Man just play Mabrey, Dupree, get the young TEs some run (not like Ashcroft is worth a damn out there), and trickle in some young players on D without burning redshirts. If he's stubborn and sticks to Longo and Tressel, he'll be gone after the bloodbath of the 2025 schedule. LIS earlier ITT, there's no reason to bring on a new coach with that schedule. 2026 is a bit less daunting but whoever is coaching will have to navigate Notre Dame, Iowa, Penn State, USC and, to a lesser extent, Pitt, Maryland, Purdue, UCLA, Michigan State, Minnesota and Rutgers.
