As expected, Coan making us look like fools on National TV for picking Mertz.

Has a few dimes tonight and they’re doing all their damage through the air. He has better pass blocking AND WRs than he had here no doubt, but man, PC/Rudolph clearly doing no favors for these QBs. PC going nowhere so why not fire Rudolph?

It's not a Graham Mertz problem...it's a Paul Chryst problem. That much is so god damn obvious.

Yeah that is not good. And we don’t have an amazing running game to cover it up anymore.

The man is not cut out to be a head coach at a major program. We're Pittsburgh with an elite defense and a decent run game. When he was at Pitt, they were much more aggressive on offense. Now that he's here, he coaches like a coward. These are the numbers at Pitt. Could be because they were losing quite often but that proves my point. He lets the game dictate how he calls it rather than dictating the game WITH his calls.

2012
Tino Sunseri: 256-393 (65.1%), 3288 yards, 21 TD, 3 INT

2013
Tom Savage: 238-389 (61.2%), 2958 yards, 21 TD, 9 INT

2014
Chad Voytik: 158-252 (62.7%), 2011 yards, 15 TD, 7 INT

Total
38 games, 652-1034 (63.1%), 8257 yards (217.3 YPG), 1.5 TD, 0.5 INT

So, either Tino Sunseri, Tom Savage and Chad Voytik are better QBs than Alex Hornibrook, Bart Houston, Jack Coan and Graham Mertz or Paul Chryst coaches exactly like I said he does. If that's the case, he's not cut out to be our head coach.

Non-last desperation drive 1st down play calls...30 run plays, 7 pass. These include sacks taken and DPIs. First half, they had 3 pass plays, 1 official attempt, 1 sack, 1 DPI. Second half, they had 4 pass plays, 4 official pass attempts. Run plays were split evenly at 15 each for the first and second half on 1st downs.
