Elgton Jenkins was a standout center in college .. he's obviously versatile, but the vast majority of his starts his final two seasons were at center.  He rarely had played guard before the Packers stuck him at LG.  He was really good there, but would he be even better at center?  If so cutting Linsley would provide the big cap savings and may not be much of a loss at all.  Probably would allow us to resign Bulaga.  When the Packers drafted Jenkins I thought it was to protect themselves from life without Linsley.

And do what at Guard?

Can Lucas Patrick be an option at left guard?  Lane Taylor on a restructured deal?  Or you can just draft a guy that fits the mold in the 4th round and hope he can fit in.  We've had a great draft record in the past with middle round guards.

Why wouldn't you just play Patrick at Center where he belongs?

Unless Rodgers can return to being a running quarterback, nothing short of almost completely rebuilding the OL will make sense.....Russell Wilson's mobility worked well against San Francisco,  while Rodgers' immobility and often times indecisiveness worked rather poorly....Bakh can stay, but Bulaga is getting a little long in the tooth....He did have concussion and leg problems this season....But since we won't have the luxury of building a new line before AR's retirement party, it may behoove us to get one or two Edelmann, Nelson, or Cobb type receivers who can do the quick slant stuff....

Rodgers needs to be willing to throw the slant stuff.
