theJ
@MKnight82 tag again. I think you are on to something about the draft talent not being good enough to replace the current guys. It'll be more apparent in a few more seasons time i think. I highlighted the drafted guys. There are two more (Leroy Booker, PG - Bulls and Dwayne Coleman, PF - Pistons) who will likely crack this list next season. Overall the bottom of this list is better than the list from the previous season (low of 89 this season vs. 87 previously). It's just mostly real guys. 2016-17 Season Top 25 Players Rank Name Position Team OVR 1 Lebron James SF Heat 98 2 Kevin Durant SF Thunder 96 3 John Wall PG Wizards 96 4 Dwight Howard C Lakers 95 5 Anthony Davis C Hornets 94 6 Demarcus Cousins C Kings 94 7 Chris Paul PG Wizards 94 8 Russel Westbrook PG Thunder 94 9 Derrick Rose PG Bulls 93 10 Brandon Jennings PG Suns 93 11 Ricky Rubio PG Timberwolves 93 12 Kyrie Irving PG Bobcats 92 13 Derrick Favors PF Jazz 92 14 Carmelo Anthony SF Mavericks 92 15 Marty McGuire PG Magic 91 16 Dale Burke SF Magic 91 17 Bradley Beal SG Wizards 91 18 Kemba Walker PG Bobcats 90 19 Blake Griffin PF Clippers 90 20 Tyreek Evans SG Kings 90 21 Deron Williams PG Nets 90 22 Dion Waiters SG Cavaliers 89 23 Dwayne Wade SG Heat 89 24 Stacey Cheaney PG Rockets 89 25 Kevin Love PF Timberwolves
titans0021
Is there a draft class quality slider in 2k13 or is that a newer invention? Once I transition from terrible to playoff contender, I usually bump that up to give the bottom teams a better chance at superstars.

I didn't see anything like that when setting it up, but it may be buried in there somewhere.

I wish i could turn the number of PG's that are produced. I feel like every draft class is 40% PG's, which is really disproportionate i feel like. I had to do that in one of my older 2k franchises. I just created a class with like 20ish A+ potential guys, and traded all of my picks for future picks to ensure all of the players went to other teams. I might do that next season when it prompts me. I didn't consider that i could edit them. And maybe turn some of those PG's into PF and C's haha. theJ
Ok, so a month into the season and Carlos Boozer does not like being the 9th man. Which sucks because i was on a sort of run (won the first 8 games). So, he's getting traded. Magic Carlos Boozer Nets 2017 1st round Nets don't have a great PF, so Boozer should start for them. theJ
A few other contract notes: Signed Dale Burke to a 5 year Bird extension worth 83M (~16.3M/year) Signed Marty McGuire to a 5 year Bird extension worth 80M (~16M/year) Chad Elliott doesn't want to re-sign at the moment, will try again at the contract deadline These contracts are pretty reasonable. Shouldn't impact my ability to sign any of my other players.

That's 6 PG's out of 15 players, or more than 1/3. As a reminder there are 5 players on the court at a time, and only one of them is a PG. I think pretty much every team in the league has at least one good PG, a lot have two.
theJ
Finished the season 44-38 (1 game worse than last season). Had a really bad March/April, i think because some guys got hurt and the starters had to take on extra minutes. They were pretty tired. But, got the 7 seed, on to the Bobcats and their army of PG's! Everyone on the team was dog tired by Game 7 except for Jordan Crawford (who was playing reduced minutes with an injury). He recovered from his injury right after game 6, so I bumped his minutes way up in an effort to hopefully hit them with fresh legs. ...it did not go well. On to the offseason i guess! theJ
I ended up with the 19th pick, and the Nets 23rd pick. The Nets were under .500 (12-14 i believe) when i made that trade. So that's a bad beat.
