Karnage84
Somewhat related, Stafford is now off of the COVID-19 list for the Lions. False positive test.
Nnivolcm
Offensive lineman Russell Bodine joined the growing ranks of opt-outs Wednesday. Bodine signed a futures deal with the Lions in December and was expected to compete for a backup spot this fall.

Sllim Pickens
Still nobody overly significant but shows the risks these people are taking when fringe players are willing to step away.

Is it because these guys know they are bubble guys and it's better to guarantee a couple hundred grand as opposed to nothing if you are cut and off a roster? I'm not discounting the very real concerns that someone could have. I just wonder if that is involved as part of the equation. If you're giving up a $5M salary to get $350k, that's a steep drop. If you're a $750k bubble player that might not make it on the roster then you might decide it's not worth the risk and just take the guaranteed money. This would be a very easy decision if you had any semi-legit concern with yourself, young kids, elderly family members, etc.
diehardlionfan
If they get the season underway I don’t expect it to last long. Covid 19 is to contagious and given the vast contacts each player will be faced with it’s a recipe for disaster. Its especially true given the inability of the U.S. to get even partial control over the spread of the virus.
