Yeah Mark shot 26% from 3 last year, going to need to make a huge leap.

Houston will definitely take a step back with all of the pieces that they lost.

Agreed, but how big of a step though is if Marks develops. The transfers will be what most transfers are but if Marks takes big steps, they may not fall super far (other than now they have a much more talented team in their conference). I don't expect Marks to do that but he should be somewhat better, but still a fall off from last year.

Even if Marks makes a big leap they're going to take a pretty significant step back, imo.
NYRaider
ESPN's early top 25 now has Memphis at #7, Duke at #11, and Houston at #15. @Sllim Pickens @Texansfan713 I think everyone is really underrating Duke coming into this season. NYRaider
I'm expecting Jeremy Roach and Mark Williams to both make big leaps as sophomores. Roach was coming off of a torn ACL in HS and clearly wasn't 100% last year. Mark Williams was inconsistent but came on really strong to end the year. Paolo Banchero will probably be the best freshmen in the country and AJ Griffin will be a top 5 pick as well. We'll need Keels to be ready to start so we can have some shooting in our lineup but I love our team. G - Jeremy Roach (6'1" 175) G - Trevor Keels (6'4" 220) F - AJ Griffin (6'6" 225) F - Paolo Banchero (6'10" 250) F - Mark Williams (7'0" 240)
NYRaider
Memphis projected starting 5 G - Emoni Bates (6'9" 200, Fr) - #4 overall recruit G - Lester Quinones (6'5" 205, Jr) - 9.5 ppg, 40% 3P shooter G - Landers Nolley (6'7" 225, Jr) - 13.1 ppg, 39% 3P shooter F - DeAndre Williams (6'9" 200, Sr) - 11.7 ppg, 45% 3P shooter F - Jalen Duren (6'10" 230, Fr) - #5 overall recruit That team is going to be so filthy. I'm a Duke fan and obviously I'm looking forward to our team. But I haven't been as excited to see a college team as this Memphis team since the Duke team that had Zion/Barrett.
NYRaider
Memphis has a pretty soft non-conference schedule too so they should get rolling early, the only 4 teams teams they'll play who will be ranked/NCAA tournament level teams are Tennessee, Alabama, Virginia Tech, and potentially Xavier in the NIT Tip Off championship game. It will be a very fun year for you @Bullet Club
