SBLIII
Jeremy Fowler on Twitter: "Running back James White is expected to re-sign with the New England Patriots, per source. It's not done but should be pretty soon. The versatile RB with 25 touchdown catches since 2014 back in the fold for New England." / Twitter
Crimmage
Wow, the market really wasn't there. Just another need filled depending on what kind of deal it is. Further points to being able to trade as much as possible to jump up in the draft and get their favorite QB
Nex_Gen
Ehh, he proved to be virtually useless without Brady. I'm probably one of the few who thinks the RB room needs to be revamped, Harris aside. White most likely took a huge discount to stay here though, so I doubt his place on the payroll hardly makes a dent.
DoleINGout
Happened right after Suh returned with the Buccs so I have to imagine there was a connection between Suh, Lawrence Guy, James White, and Leonard Fournette. Can't be upset with White coming back even if he isn't utilized as a runner enough and it is obvious when he is on the field that they're passing. I certainly don't think it does. Harris - 3 down back with star potential Sony - 2 down back who can spell Harris White - 3rd down pass catching ace Rex - jack of all trades who can fill all roles above if pressed into action or simply change the pace It's kind of perfect. He is a decent backup and situational 3rd down back but he clearly got grossly overrated because Brady made him look good. The market was not kind to him. But if it prevents the Patriots to draft a RB early, I'll take him. I would revamp that room next year, so hopefully we are not talking about a 3 year deal here. Revamped probably isn’t the right word, but Sony would ideally be improved on. Think we get by another year if Cam’s the starter (or long term, if a guy like Fields is brought in) because he really opens up the run game, but if NE decides to draft a guy like Mac or get another pocket passer, I’m with you. Hopefully Harris shows he wasn’t just a flash in the pan/a product of Cam and turns into that guy.

I'm reading as if his play is on him Jesus would be useless with CN throwing the ball. Nex, I'm not going at you but I'm just saying White can't control the hopeless situation he was in last year. He innocent your honor. You have the wrong man. 😁 Edited March 24, 2021 by m haynes

Rex is an FA isn't he? EDIT: Also you forgot JJ Taylor, who has decent potential. Edited March 24, 2021 by ChazStandard
