Curious why now. Ravens really couldn’t pass on Houston. He called Harbaugh directly and told him he wanted to come to Baltimore, what could we offer.

Front Office would t pass either way, but like it’s been said above. Ferguson maybe not showing anything and they don’t want to bank on the rookies.

Also curious if the rookies are performing, would we keep both McPhee and Houston as vets to take snaps away from guys like Oweh. Yet as I type this, I do realize we did line McPhee up on the D-Line plenty of times with his hand in the dirt.

Haha, idk. Excited to see what happens. This boost at pass rush really will just show how shut down our secondary really is

Well from what I read Houston won’t be joining the rest of the team for some time, a couple weeks or so. He has to as Harbaugh mentioned, get vaccinated first and then pass through specific team test/guidelines- which should take roughly 1-2 weeks.

Thus Odafe and the other young guys should get plenty of reps to develop during training camp prior to his arrival- so long as they can avoid the injury bug of course. *knock on wood

Absolutely. I kind of got excited with a mini rant. I wanted Houston from day 1. Reminds me of the Doom signing years ago

Vets love to come to us and break back out showing they still have juice.

Just hope to see a good rotation to see us stay fresh

I personally think some of you may be reading too much into this point. Sure, maybe Ferguson is on the roster bubble, but we did carry 6 OLB last year after the YN trade.

I personally think it's just as likely Ferguson and Houston form a platoon of sorts, with Ferguson playing more early down looks and Houston being more of a pass rush specialist, similar to his usage in Indy last year. Ferguson also could play the interior on RACECAR looks (along with McPhee).

That isn't really a skill set he's flashed or we've even employed, he's struggled enough outside as it is, and we did that more when we didn't have the interior rush talent we do now(Campbell,Madubuike).
