Gronk's been fine

The issues have been mostly OL based, some weird playcalls, some bad luck and small sample bias

He dropped a simple TD against the Chiefs, and he's been beaten on slants a few times in the RZ. He's been good most of the year, but he's not been great.

Gronk's always dropped the occasional pass. So that's nothing new.

Not sure what you mean by "beaten by slants"

On, not by.

In years past they would isolate Gronk on a CB near the goal-line and have him run a quick slant and box out the defender for the TD. They've tried that a few times this year, and Gronk has just hasn't been able to successfully box his guy out.

I don't really think his decline in those plays is real thing that's happening as much as small sample and recency biases.

I'd also posit that the lack of Edelman is giving Gronkowski tougher matchups in the red zone since the other WR's aren't very effective in short areas.
