Him with USC is going to be fun. Our last pac 12 (big 10 included) round 1 pick was 2013 Desmond Trufant. I dunno if we’d pick any of the 16 there.

Projecting some future guys becoming first round guys we’d take them. Eli Ricks would be more appealing if he didn’t get in trouble prior (charges got dropped but got our attention either way).

I like Noah a lot actually. LBs round 1 are eww unless they’re Micah Parsons and so good they would play multiple places for you. Or they’re as good as Shaquille (Darius) from day one.

I think Noah has special ability and pairing him with Micah would be fun

Random side note: I usually avoid “favorite team” BS but I think San Francisco is going to do  special stuff this year. Even if Trey struggles to begin his career, I’m all in on SF this year. I can see them starting 3-5 or something and finishing 11-6/10-7 and winning more then one playoff game when it comes down to it.

I think the Sewell family is about to build a NFL pipeline. Sewell has some Hightower to him and that skill set ( coverage upside + pass rush ability + run defense sorta guarantees) is a very appealing combination.

Just talking about this with you makes me regret leaving haha. But I feel that will sting for a while anyway.

And agreed. He has a multi faceted game that makes him very valuable even as an off ball backer. The Hightower comparison is good.

My BDL mentality differs from RL in that I value contribution from day one more significantly more then RL where you can control variables. I can very well see Sewell having a good PFF grade which I probably wouldn’t care for with more control from a true NFL standpoint. From a BDL standpoint; that context is way more important bc we lack control from that aspect.
