DefenseWinsChampionships
A.) Joe Burrow is (still) on a Rookie contract and you guys are absolutely loaded in available salary cap space @ $57,307,379 (3rd in the NFL) and with all your remaining draft capital still in place too. And both the Bills and Chiefs will soon decline due to absolute salary cap hell. B.) Buffalo is already -$4,948,197 over the salary cap and they don't even have to start paying Josh Allen his $27.5M (2023), $23.5M (2024) and $14M (2025) but yet they're already in salary cap hell before having to begin paying Josh Allen mega $$$? They are in trouble moving forward especially as their #1 D begins to fall off a cliff (with little ability to improve). C.) The Chiefs are only @ +$3,452,359 in available salary cap space and are stuck with Patrick Mahomes contract until 2031 where they'll pay him $10M in 2027, $13M in 2028, $20M in 2029, $27M in 2030 and $38 MILLION in 2031 🤭🤣🤭 they back loaded his contract but yet are already in damn near salary cap hell and it's only heading into 2022? They are royally screwed (moving forward) with almost no ability to improve and I don't think Patrick Mahomes will ever win another SB because of it. I don't know if your Cincinnati Bengals will make it back to the SB. Because a lot can happen with player injuries etc but you've got a (much) better chance than both Buffalo/KC (combined). And if you guys go guns blazing after Davante Adams in order to create a trio of Davante Adams/Ja'Marr Chase/Tee Higgins for Joe Burrow along with drafting 1st and 2nd round O-Linemen for him too? Forget about it; it's over for the AFC. Especially if Rob Gronkowski joins the party for the next two-three years (he's in LOVE with Joe Burrow). If Davante Adams will cost $23M per year while Joe Burrow is on his Rookie contract? Pull the trigger because a trio of Joe Burrow to Ja'Marr Chase and Davante Adams would become the next Peyton Manning to Marvin Harrison and Reggie Wayne (x2) and then Tee Higgins becomes even more unstoppable and Joe Burrow would become GOD @ QB. Even if I'm talking NY Crazy talk and both Adams/Gronk aren't in your plans etc you guys are still the AFC team to beat over the next 3 years because the flexibility your team currently has is, unreal. THE DUKE
Teams up against the cap in 2022 may feel it a little, but the cap is going to explode with the new TV deals about to come into effect. Most of those teams will be fine.
sparky151
Chiefs may have cap issues and have to let Honey Badger and Frank Clark or Melvin Ingram go. But they'll prioritize keeping Orlando Brown and use their picks on defense. They'll probably be the preseason favorites in the AFC. Bills are ok for next year. Bengals have a potentially favorable situation but still have to find some good players. Gronk would be a nice addition. Davante Adams won't be a Bengals target, we have 3 good WRs now, just need some depth guys there. O-line is the main thing.

Keep in mind the chemistry he already has with Higgins and Chase, I just don't see it.
biggie.
Davante Adams make zero sense because Boyd is under contract along with Chase and Higgins. Cincy should just focus on rebuilding the line and add depth to the defense.
