TCMD '18 GM mock draft build (open discussion)

I'm working on the private trade block / draft board doc and could use your opinions on the layout, if you can think of anything you'd like added, etc.

I'm at that point of making copies of this for each team and trying to add something later would be a ton of work.

Other linked sheets aren't set up yet and can't be until a copy is made for each team but please give this a look over and use the drop down list.

post any feedback and / or suggestions here.  I need to get this done soon so that I can move to the next of many projects.

Thanks

On another note, any veterans of the mock interested in helping me manage it this year, once it starts please message me.  I could use the help as jrry32 isn't able to commish this year.

I like the trade up or down for the draft picks.  Makes it easier to see what picks are available for teams looking to move up/down.  Assuming that it will be linked to the big board it will work well.

As for the bottom part with players on the trade block:  I like the information that it carries on contract and length/cap hit, etc.

Might be an me only issue, but I would love the notes aspect on the left so I do not have to scroll over to see that info.  Having things fit on a screen without having to scroll is nice and makes things more usable.  Not sure if that is just something with the test aspect of this or not.

Side Note....what are you going to do with a NYG top 5 draft pick??

Quick question are you able to zoom out of the doc?

For me the option is in the upper left side of the ribbon.

I'll see what I can do to move the notes column over, the scrolling does suck.  I use my desktop to work on this project and it has a bigger screen, so when i'm on the laptop, I reduce the workbook to 75% so that it displays everything, font is a little smaller but it works.

Thanks for the feedback, let me know if you think of anything else.

edit:  The Giants have had one disappointing season to say the least.  As for the first pick, I've got a couple different directions but will hold off should another Giants fan want to get involved.

Fixed the scrolling issue by moving the notes column (way harder than it sounds) to the far left.

Would you guys prefer to keep track of your rosters / depth charts within a forum thread?  The doc we've used in the past was used by some of you while most posted in the forum in hopes of getting feedback.

I think with the new site, copying things from the workbooks to the forum to paste depth charts and other info is much smoother.  I like the forum aspect of posting depth charts.  Maybe nice to have a collection for considering awards for different aspects.

Thanks for moving the notes column.

Can someone refresh my memory?

If releasing a player that has guaranteed base attached to their contract in year 2019, are those monies pushed to the current year of the contract? Or, is that money pushed to the following years "dead money"?

I know that all prorated monies are pushed to the current year if released or traded but can't recall if it's the same for guar. base.

Yes all guarentees get pushed up if released not traded though because new team takes that on
