Congrats!

Jerry called, he just named you the GM of the Dallas Cowboys and your first task --> Building the Big Board. The scouts have submitted the reports, now it is up to you to build it.

[You are free to build the board as you see fit: Evaluate character; deduce scheme fit; weight need; determine positional value; etc.]

Please build the Big Board - not who you would pick or over value. The #8 player on our board may be a better pick for Dallas than the #3 player on our board. 

We will be using PFF's Positional Rankings and Daniel's Top 50 - that said, please feel free to suggest names for a future integration. Voting will be roughly 24 hours.

Probably the best run blocker in the draft.

Smith's run-blocking tape is a sight to behold. Neal nor Ekwonu led the FBS in big-time blocks last season, as it was Smith. He likely ends up at guard and is a work in progress as a pass protector, but you can't teach his power.

 

 

It’s also who Mel Kiper currently has us taking at 24. He’s usually pretty accurate

Nothing at all. But a few montgs ago, when discussing one thing or another about the disgust over the Parsons pick, I made a comment about how Kiper had him on his "best of remaining" board and everyone here said nobody cares what Kiper thinks, as if his opinion don't matter.

So.....what? Now it matters???

Don't read too much into it, just a little "huh?" moment going on here.

I’ll say I don’t value his Mock Drafts. But his prospect knowledge is outrageous. The amount he knows about the day 3 guys is really pretty incredible and I find him very insightful.

Which is what I based my entire hypothetical on, but the response I got was less than agreeable.

To be totally honest, I don't even remember what in the hell the whole discussion was about.
