Two Weeks Out Mock

Focus here was to get our WR room close to right again, then add talent in layers to the defense as that will be our keystone for the future. Build out trenches to ensure depth, rotation and freshness to get after the QB & protect the QB. This draft accomplishes that & then some GPG.

22 - Dax Hill - DB - Michigan

Whether safety or slot he takes our defense to next level function/future proofing it

28 - George Pickens - WR - Georgia

That dude & one of the few Alpha WR1 talents this draft, hands, radius, speed, & IT

40 - Tyler Smith - OL - Tulsa

Nasty, physical road-grader RT plug-in, can refine pass sets to be great OL piece

53 - Logan Hall - DL - Houston

Lengthy, physical multi position piece for the DL, will win our trenches battle + fresh

78 - Jalen Tolbert - WR - S Alabama

Deep threat to replace MVS, better hands, slight less speed but great addition for 12

132 - Charlie Kolar - TE - Iowa St

Best in ‘22 for TE hands and inline blocking, soon to be great redzone threat

157 - A Wright - Edge - UAB

Moldable edge with plus traits and size you can’t teach, will build rotation depth

188 - Zach Tom - OL - Vandy

Great OL chess piece with a RAS of 10, screams mid-round OL depth for Packers

228 - Damarion Williams - DB - Houston

Inside/Outside option @ DB with slot time and potential safety qualities, ++ ballhawk

258 - Nephi Sewell - LB - Utah

Special teams body, can grow into defensive role in time, moves well in space

Love the effort and the player we wind up with. No complaints on any of the adds actually, a lot of my favorite players of this draft are in there.

A few things are a bit unrealistic, such as a lot of the trades.

I don't think WAS gives up McScorin for a future first from a super bowl contending team. They'll want immediate draft capital.

I don't think Seattle or Cleveland would be willing to do either pick trade. Each is giving up hundreds of points on the Jimmy J chart.

And I wish Zach Tom would make it to that pick, but I have a hard time seeing him last that long. His stock has been rising.

of course...I'd love it if all of these work out.

I was thinking the same thing. Dream draft, but pick 59 for 40 and lose only 17 spots in a later round. Also, I think Tyler Smith is an OG in the NFL.

Not a fan of trading future #1s for just better than average WRs.

Your in draft trades couldn't happen with the way you have them listed.

Agree on both points here.

Not only giving up the draft capital for the guy, but then having the privilege of paying him 20+ a year. He'll probably ask for 25 a year.
