I don’t know why you are so blind on this. Sure Purdy won games… but he is a limited QB just like Jimmy, very limited. The NFL will now have tape on Purdy. Jimmy won his first 5 games and then proceeded to go 35-17 with a run to the NFC championship and Super Bowl. Considering that Lance has only played in a handful of games over the last three years and his struggles with accuracy in the limited time he has played in the NFL, I'm not sure how you can be 100% confident that he'll start. Didn't Kittle just go on the record during SB week saying that the team loves Purdy and it's essentially his team in the locker room? Or the fact that he's coming off of a serious injury? It'd be pretty unprecedented for someone to have as much success as Purdy did and then to be relegated to a backup role the following season.
