incognito_man
What do you think are the most projectable METRICS for CBs from college to the NFL? Avoid descriptions (like "lock down ability"); interested in hearing everyone's thoughts on this, but using only metrics (i.e. "passer rating against"). Supporting evidence greatly appreciated (i.e. 8/10 CBs from last 10 draft classes than surrendered a career passer rating against less than 55.0 are "successful" NFL CBs - using whatever success criteria you choose). I want to do this for each position, starting in alphabetical order at CBs.
MWil23
Length has become a significant plus for a number of corners such as Sherman, Sauce, Surtain, and even Bradberry all being 6’1 or taller. You do have some 5’10-5’11 guys like Alexander and Ward who can flat out play, but even young up and coming guys like Martin Emerson fit the length mold. With so many defenses going more to off man and zone, length has become a desirable trait for these guys.

Spartacus
I know this isn't a "Metric" per say but my first item I look at is hips and feet usage. IMO tight corners rarely do well at the NFL level.
