It got the ball close enough to the goal line for someone besides Spray n Pray PJ to get it in...which is what it took to win the game

My point is we were still in a scoring position. We still had 3 downs from the 15 with a stopped clock. 
 

We knew we needed a TD. I think there’s still plenty of chance we could’ve scored.

Could've doesn't equal would've which is why it may have decided the game. It certainly was a better opportunity having four chances from the 1 (took all 4) than three from the 15 with a bad thrower of the football.
