I don't think either one deserves credit, we're 2-4. At this point it's becoming more about who deserves the blame for the team being mid.

Sure. I’m fine with this take. I still think we have a good draft on our hands from what we know so far.

Telesco's off-season moves as a whole helped us go from 8-9 to possibly the worst team in football.

You’ve been dragging the front office the past few days man

😂 I’ve said multiple times I like the potential of the top 3 picks

I highly question the roster building . Team is devoid of talent on at important areas

And not a ton of draft capital to rebuild with. The Adams trade is at least a small one

Yeah they did. I’m not trying to defend Telesco. I’m just saying it seems like he had a good draft so far.

It was all a planned tank

Honestly might have been.

Hiring Getsy:

• Ensured the offense would be so terrible that we would be guaranteed to tank.

• Gives them an obvious fall guy to blame for their poor season.

• Creates a way to re-excite the fanbase about the current regime with a new OC and QB.

This is literally the exact same thing that happened with the Bears. They ended up with Caleb Williams because of it and he was such a big fall guy that Eberflus was actually able to keep his job and get a second spin of the wheel at OC.

Telesco and AP recognized that we weren't going to land a legit QB early on in the process, hired Getsy, and quietly committed to tank. We came into the season with $30M in cap space we passed on using, willingly let Jacobs walk in free agency, and traded Davante Adams in season. Those are not moves that you make if you're genuinely trying to be competitive.

We've seen Reggie, Mayock, and Ziegler just completely fumble the bag with hella resources year after year.

Telesco gotta bring it this off-season or we might stink for a while.

I’m pretty sure everyone here questions the roster building and lack of depth, that’s not a revelation. I think some people, myself included, appreciate the recent draft so far and that’s better than what has been seen on the coaching end so far. Very valid criticisms for both.

If Pierce stays. You have to bring in another OC. Maybe it isn’t fair to Getsy cause the QBs get got to work with are not starting caliber QBs, but life isn’t fair.

Shane Steichen was a play away from taking the Colts to the playoffs as a first year head coach with Minshew at QB for most of the season.

Justin Fields is playing well and has led the Steelers to a 4-2 record in his first season away from Getsy.

Other play callers are finding ways to put points on the board with less talent and/or worse QB's than what we have. We're not even trying to make adjustments and he's calling games ultra conservative when we're getting blown out in the second half.

Playing so well it looks like Russel Wilson is starting this week.

Just because Tomlin is making a terrible decision doesn't mean Fields is playing poorly.

On the year he has 1,337 total yards / 10 total TD / 1 INT / 66% comp (best of his career)

The Steelers weapons, especially their pass catchers are mid outside of Muth and Pickens who is in the dog house. The only reason their offense has been semi functional to start the year is because of Fields ability to run and extend plays.

To be fair I agree with it being a bad decision on Tomlin’s part. Fields has been great for all you can expect out of him. I still wouldn’t look at him as my future solution to qb.

He's a good fit for the Steelers with their current roster situation. He's able to make up for a lot of their deficiencies on offense but he's also super inconsistent as a passer. Their defense is good enough that they'll never really have to ask him to do a ton to keep them in games. But long term I agree, I don't view him as someone that can take you to a Super Bowl.

Mike Tomlin deciding to trot Russ out there after he has been hurt all season with a shaky OL, meh running game, and so-so pass catchers against arguably the best defense in the league on SNF is honestly insane.
