How many times has a team been hyped or deemed spooky to fail? Doesn’t matter. No one picked them to beat the chiefs. You know? Who knows many MN might have won the north had Kirk not gotten hurt. still they won. Off season hype is just filler. To make it and win is a different animal. I’m still standing on the Justin Fields is the best QB in the North with the biggest potential. I love how he runs, I love some of the tough throws he makes. If that guy ever got the right coaching the sky is the limit. But here I am looking bat ish crazy talking about Justin Fields and his potential.

Saying they were hyped and that no one picked them to make the playoffs contradicts yourself. They were 9-8 last year looking at 2 FRPs(one being in the top 10), a good FA class and natural progression from their young guys. They had arguably the best OL in the league coming into the season. I don't know many people that didn't have the Lions making the playoffs.

Now for your Justin Fields take, that's a helluva stretch

I love him. The way he runs reminds me of Vick. You leave him alone. No slander of Tua, Fields or Kyler will be tolerated around me.

For Bills:

Soft reboot/rebuild.

The core of Hyde, Poyer, Tre, Edmunds, Diggs and Allen are either gone, will be gone or not the star they were when it started (minus Allen).

BUT a new core of draft picks like Cook, Kincaid, Torrence, Bernard, Benford and Groot along with Allen and the new “veterans” like Oliver and Milano is still a great group and capable of being in the tournament next year.

The cap situation isn’t great and the Bills will need to be creative but they do have 10 draft picks to hopefully grab a new WR1/high end WR2 and Safety duo as well as fill out the bottom of the roster.

Niners - This was a disappointment. I said anything short of winning the Superbowl with this roster and the way the NFL was this season was a failure. And to top it off Kyle was in familiar territory as his team was up by 10pts in the Superbowl and lost again. Im not going to blame nobody but him. Defense played well enough, Purdy played more than solid, CMC was good, the receivers made some big plays and I know the kicker missed a big XP that loomed large but he also made some big kicks too to get them on the board and had them up 10pts and then had them up by 3pts twice. It was the conservative nature from Kyle not going for the win on 4th and 2 in OT that hurt them. When you know you have Mahomes on the other side dont even give the ball back to him for a chance for him to march down that field score a td and win the game. You end the game with a td and the Niners win the Superbowl.

Moving forward we know the Niners will still be in position to get back to the Superbowl. I saw they were the early favs on Caesars Sportsbooks. But the NFC will be better next season. The AFC will be better next season. Lets see if the Niners who normally is banged up alot. Lets see if they can put together another relatively healthy season. We saw Greenlaw get significantly hurt. He might miss the start of next season. So like its going to be a challenge for them to get back to a Superbowl even though they will be in the mix. You have to capitalize when you get a chance and Kyle hasnt. No excuses this time. An epic failure imo on the Niners not to win the Superbowl.

IMO that fumble on the punt turned out to be the biggest play of the game.   That score that KC got after that was the difference in the game.  If they don't score there and SF drives down instead this game is totally different.

Yeah a lot of missed opportunities. Dont forget on one drive Trent Williams had a false start and a hold that cost them that drive. More games are lost than won and I think the Niners flat out lost this game especially the way the Chiefs were playing in the 1st half on offense.

They weren't "eliminated" but let's discuss the Chiefs.

I think they cut MVS and do some restructures for about 40M in cap space. I do not think they intend to resign both Jones and Sneed. They strike me as a team that thinks they can keep pumping out DBs, so they might go for Jones.

In FA and the draft they should target at minimum 2 receivers. One vet that won't cost much and then maybe another high upside guy in the draft that could be Day 2 or later. Seeing as they won a SB with the Defense + Mahomes-makes-any-receiving-core-decent strategy, think they keep doing that. Might be good to find a Kelce heir.

They need to keep Jones if they can. The reason why is from what I heard they traded Hill bc they didnt want to give him that big contract so they can keep Jones. Losing Jones wouldnt make sense if they chose him over paying Hill.

Definitely go get some receivers. Id even go get a tight end for win Kelce retires. Kelce could legit retire after next season. So have his replacement already on the team for this upcoming season.

Agreed with all of this, except the Kelce bit. There have been heated debates in the KC forum about this. To me, Kelce is that special kind of irreplaceable that you don't bother. I think Gray could be a league average TE if he got more of the receiving snaps. I think shooting for more than that at that position especially tends to be...optimistic. I find it more likely they go hard on investing a WR and shift the offense more in that direction, since it's a little more likely to get threats there. Though I've been wrong before.
