Raiders hire Antonio Pierce as Head Coach

It would be sensible as he’s a young coach with little track record, give him a shot and if he gets the team to the playoffs (or some other reasonable clause) then he gets a contract extension and/or pay rise. He’ll clearly back himself and you get an extended chance to see what he can do, what his vision is and if last year was just riding the wave of emotion and feel good factor.

Right it's low risk high reward(which is what I thought Rich would've been a few years back)

Great points. Gruden and McDaniels were high risk coach prospects since they were both expensive and both coming off last HC jobs losing bad

Right. Something that was clear about both hires was that they made decisions like they were going to be there for six or seven years. Which is why you saw a lot of bad draft picks and questionable signings.

Right. This was my whole premise on hiring AP: That it would be one of those things that if it works then that would be amazing that this franchise has a coach that understands the pulse of the Raiders mystique/fanbase but if not we could move on easily.

The Raiders mystique has been to be garbage for decades bud

His takes seem to be always based on TV

You were dragging Lamar and hyping Carr/Saints all last off-season.

I'd bet you'll act like you never hyped AP when he fails too.

You and @ronjon1990 were clowning me for saying Lamar was an MVP level QB. You said Carr should be just as highly valued and that I got all of my information from TV, then Lamar proceeded to win MVP for the best team in the NFL while Carr and the Saints flopped.

Lamar isn't even the best player on his own team.

The Ravens were not, in fact, the best team in the NFL.

Facts.
