Championshiporbust
He'd always wanted to coach the Cowboys post-Jimmy Johnson, sometimes pondering being the Owner/Coach/GM............could he have done it from 1994 to 1999 in the Cowboys' heyday? Armbar
Win a game? Yeah. Be a good coach? No. I think anyone could get a victory in the NFL when you have great talent. However, you won’t win more than 6-7 games unless you have a good-great coaching staff.

Jerry had Ernie Zampese, Mike Zimmer, Norv Turner, Sean Payton, etc. around him.
raidersedge
Jerry knows ball. He's definitely winning some games as HC.

Considering how weak that division was in the mid 1990s Dallas would have gotten into the playoffs without a coaching staff.
PossibleCabbage
I think it depends on how much he can tolerate push back from his various assistant coaches. If he surrounds himself purely with Yes-Men (as he seemed inclined to do in the past) it's not going to go well. But the right combination of OC, DC, etc. can win games with a corpse as the head coach.
checkcola
There are teams that win games by accident at times, so yeah, the answer is yes
NudeTayne
If Jerry coached then Dak would be about to get paid big $$$ Spoiler and then choke in the playoffs
Soko
An orangutan could win one game as a HC over the course of five seasons. So I’m reasonably sure that Jerry Jones has a semi decent shot at it.
SodeeWater_Cheezburger
If you have a talented roster, and some good coordinators, just about anyone of us on this site could win a game. I think Jerry would have been at least a very good motivator, so I could see him having a little success. Of course, he would probably want to call all the plays, so things might blow up, depending on his play calling abilities. Ultimately, he is probably in the perfect spot for himself, being the owner, calling a lot of the shots in the background, and looking around for a glory hole.

I hate to say it, but I can't hang for that kind of thing.
