It doesn't matter if something else was worse. Something else is always worse. Again, he hasn't missed yet. But as of 7-29-2024 things aren't looking great. Thinking a Free Agent signing is only a binary result is wild to me Not to mention that your bar of “10th best RG” is such a weird bar to be trying to set. That’s just about when he was paid, it’s just what happens with free agents. He’s the 20th highest paid Guard this year, he was like 7/8 last year for an average of Top 15 over what will be his contract length. So even if you were dishonest enough to think he should be expected to be Top 15 because of that, it’s not like he was a zero even on that scale. Doesn’t meet it, no one is arguing that, but acting like he would be categorized as ‘nothing’ while here is a weird take He will likely be disappointing as a signing, but it’s not like he’s a total waste of money. If he gives 15 games, and is above average in the run game, and keeps our Franchise investment clean enough, it would be a fine enough signing, just not great. But the reality is, that’s the result of the majority of the Free Agent signings. And when you had to strip your roster down to the studs, that’s for sure going to happen
dll2000
CHGO Nick says Wright has been unable to block Sweat all camp. Don’t know if that means Sweat has simply taken his game to another level or Wright has regressed some. Or a little of both. Or Sweat has figured out something about Wright’s game and Wright hasn’t figured it out yet.

Why I wouldn’t do live team rush when practicing team O for a bit. Just busted plays and generally wasted reps for O. dll2000
Interesting he is getting reps ahead Terell Smith, Blackwell, and Stroman. Maybe Smith can't play nickel. Early yet.

Not surprising. Steward had a great college career. He's a ball hawk

Madmike90
Would have loved to have seen Caleb play but realistically giving the backup's a bubble players a chance to play early and often might be better in the long run for getting the depth of the team right...especially with the different skill set that will be needed now on special teams with the new kick off rule.
