Turnovers have been the story of every loss.

That's what I told my friend last night during the game...every loss has literally been because of turning the ball over at the worst times.  And of course, it happened again last night...and of course, Mattison was one of them that did it again.

The Minnesota Vikings 2024 regular-season schedule will be determined by an NFL formula that will be in its fourth season since the league expanded to 17 games.

Vikings Home Opponents:

NFC North: Chicago Bears, Detroit Lions and Green Bay Packers
NFC West: Arizona Cardinals and San Francisco 49ers
AC South: Houston Texans and Indianapolis Colts
NFC South and AFC East teams that finish in the corresponding divisional place as the Vikings

Vikings Road Opponents:

NFC North: Chicago Bears, Detroit Lions and Green Bay Packers
NFC West: Los Angeles Rams and Seattle Seahawks
AC South: Jacksonville Jaguars and Tennessee Titans
NFC East team that finishes in the corresponding divisional place as the Vikings

It's starting to clear up a little now...right now, the undecided home games will be either TB/Atlanta and Buffalo (I'll be surprised if they catch Miami) and they'll be at Dallas (who are 3 1/2 clear of Washington and likely won't catch Philly).

The Vikings on Monday activated guard Chris Reed, completing his return from the Non-Football Injury list. Reed has been rehabbing a foot injury and was placed on the Reserve/NFI list before the season.

He has started 30 of the 68 NFL games he's played for five different teams, including one of the seven in which he played in 2022 after joining the Vikings.

The Vikings also announced the placement of defensive lineman Dean Lowry on Injured Reserve.

Lowry suffered a pectoral injury on Sunday night at Denver. He joined the Vikings this offseason as a free agent and started four of the nine games he's played this season, recording 14 tackles, a fumble recovery and pass defensed.

49ers QB Brock Purdy revealed that he may have signed with the #Vikings as an UDFA if the 49ers didn’t take him with the last pick in the draft, he told @espn.

The Vikings “heavily pursued” Purdy in the final hours of the draft, hoping to sign him to a UDFA deal. The #Texans also had interest in him. It’s a good thing he went to San Francisco, as he would’ve likely never been able to get playing time in Minnesota with Kirk Cousins at the helm.

interesting....

Harrison Smith will be playing in his 171st career game, which will tie him with Paul Krause for the most by a Vikings defensive back. Smith passed Krause's franchise record for starts by a defensive back (150) in 2022 and is poised to make his 170th start.

It sure doesn't feel like Harry has been a Viking for over a decade now. Hopefully, he retires here too. I would assume he is a future Ring-of-Honor guy, right?

Definitely.  He's possibly the only one from the (mostly) Zimmer regime that's guaranteed to be.  Although Thielen is probably assured as well.
