I haven't been spending a ton of points, and no. They are almost all normal. I have spent Quin and Neal's points. I will update all of that at the end of the season. There hasn't been much of a reason to update that this year. I was expecting to power through this season and the fun actually starts in 2019. The Chargers were DOMINANT. 28, 28, and 14 point wins en route to a super bowl victory over my Packers. The Jags get revenge over the Pats for last year. Kinda funny seeing the Browns and Jags both in the playoffs. The Browns have inspired me to make the playoffs next year and lose in the 1st round. This could be an opportunity for me to use my move back early and pick up an additional pick next year again. I am pretty sure where I want to go with my first pick, but there are a ton of options at 19. There are a handful of E1 and M1 guys that I love, but if they're all gone, I will have a really hard time passing on Macon Newberry, the LT out of WIsconsin. I don't like taking OL early, but he is one of the best LTs I;ve had in a while. Him being 23 scares me a bit, but I won't be doing this for 10 years... JBURGE
2019 NFL DRAFT Here's who's in play here. Could be my Russel Wilson. On the other hand, Ross Arnold, MLB from Georgia, was the MVP at the all star game, which means he is a superstar. He ran a 4.56 40 which fits my LB requirement, so can I pass on that? With the 1st overall pick in the 2019 draft, and the first NFL player ever selected by a Canadian team, the Toronto Bills select... I didn't have much of a choice, did I. I usually prefer to take a QB year 3 in rebuilds so I can have an established OL, but in a new city, 1st overall pick, how can I pass on a franchise QB. What would happen if I won 6 games next year and couldn't select one? I know this goes against what I said in picking BPA, but I think we all understand that QB is the exception. Being normal isn't that bad since I fully expect him to have a shot at OROY and I will be able to develop him later. Hopefully he has some good traits so I don't have to waste points on those. Also look at how handsome he is. I pick again at 19, and there is a pool of 6 players I am hoping I can get one from. Even if one makes it there, I still have my eyes on that LT. The Cardinals took the WR Woodley at #2. The Jets take FS Newkirk at #3. Not a good start. The Bengals take MLB Arnold at 7, and the last of the E1 guys I like is gone. The Bears take WR Wreh-Wilson 10th. The Panthers take SS Schwartz 13th and Easton goes 14th to the Titans. meh. Bock goes 16th to the Dolphins! Wow! Damnit. That leaves one guy if he makes it..... and he does. DRAFT BOARD COMBINE NAME AGE H/W PROJ TALENT TOP 3 SKILLS SCHOOL 40 VERT BROAD 3CONE SHUTTLE BENCH LT MACON NEWBERRY 23 6'6 319 L1 L1 IMB B+ PBK B RBK B WISCONSIN 5.24 21.90 8.10 7.41 4.6 3 Let's look and see what kind of trade offers I'm getting for this pick... WOW. Seattle and New Orleans are both offering me 2020 1st 2020 2nd and 2019 3rd. I'm going to go with my gut. With the 19th overall pick in the 2010 NFL draft, the Toronto Bills select Normal again, but whatever. He will immediately plug in as a starter and protect the new QB. Fast forwarding to 2.1, there really is only 1 guy on my board here. I have another offer from the Saints to move down, but I think I am comfortable picking him here. Well that was a good call!!! I had no draft stories on him, but I liked the A-. I could not run the ball to save my life last season, so I needed to improve the OL. Taking a QB 1 overall adds to the need for a strong OL. I drafted 2 starters last year, and just got 2 more. I'm not sure which spot on the line he will play yet. Trade BILLS SEAHAWKS 2019 3rd for 2019 2.19 2019 4th 2019 7.13 2020 2nd 2020 7th I don't have anyone I need at this pick, and I need future assets. The Seahawks offered me this trade, and then I manually traded my 2019 7th for their 2020 7th because otherwise I have 11 picks this year.
