  1. @freakygeniuskid @NudeTayne We're on the clock. In my mind, I'm down to Antonio Gibson, Slot-WR/PRB/RB/WR as the lead guy. also in the final consideration in my mind would be Willie Gay Jr., LB Miss. St., Devin Asiasi, TE UCLA, and Jalen Hurts, QB Alabama. ... And I'm leaning Gibson or Asiasi even over Gay Jr. Below is why including others who in my mind would be eliminated from consideration. -------------------- Eliminated in my mind & Why: (Eliminated from my personal consideration) Zack Moss, RB Utah - Great all around game but not dynamic enough with limited upside and versatility. (Eliminated from my personal consideration) Terrell Burgess, NS Utah - Corner frame, lacks physicality and sturdiness, great intangibles and leadership, gets destroyed by blocks and lacks instincts to range playmake at a high level as would be expected by a starter. (Eliminated from my personal consideration) Devin Peoples-Jones, WR Michigan - A lot of talent but doesn't compete and loafs a lot on routes. Slow build up speed and gets jammed at the line. Has a lot of upside as a big-slot that can dominate match-ups. The Final 4: Antonio Gibson, Slot-WR/PRB/WR/RB Memphis -- Big play, explosive slot WR who can start at RB if necessary. Amazing skill as a dual threat RB/WR who scored 20% of the time he touched the ball. Blazing speed and timed 4.39 speed manifests in gameplay. Toughness, balance, and is a developing player who had to sit behind numerous NFL talents before being unleashed this past year in a year that saw him go off. Devin Asiasi, TE UCLA -- Showed immense ability as a pro-bowl TE1 and fights in the blocking game. When it's all said and done he may very well be the best TE in the entire draft by a longshot. Dropped a ton of weight during the season for some reason before putting it back on. Has seam monster ability akin to Kelce without the route running savvy. Plays with competitive fire almost always but then sometimes he seems to look disinterested because of lack of touches. Willie Gay Jr., LB Miss. St -- Most talented player on the Board. Pro-Bowl Ability. Might not fit the "Smart, Tough, Accountable" profile. Suspended for getting into an altercation with a QB teammate that left the QB with a broken orbital bone and having to miss a game. Was one of the 10 football players that let a tutor take a Chemistry test for them online in a cheating scandal (This one doesn't worry me so much b/c this happens all the time with online classes for athletes in college I know first hand from seeing it done with coaches consent). Was kicked out of a game for already having a personal foul call but then being one of the players that went on the field during the rivalry game fight between benches. His role was mostly defending teammates and subdued pulling teammates back but because he had already had a in-game infraction personal foul he was ejected. Range ability is something elite and special. Lacks the grit to take on blocks but has the savvy to get around them with his plus athleticism. Jalen Hurts, QB Alabama -- Smart, Tough, and Accountable on and off the field. Tremendous upside. This wouldn't happen in reality but in this simulation it makes sense given the value. Honarable Mention -- Tyler Johnson, WR Minnesota -- A lot of people like him. That's why he should get consideration I've watched 6 games, and I have tried to see it. I don't see anything beyond a number 3 guy that can/will be upgraded upon. Nice body control, tough player, and he has some competitive fire. Limited quickness and ability to separate. Plays with crocodile arms and has a limited catch radius.
  2. In a reverse of course, we've decided to no longer pursue a trade up. Good luck with your pick. Duke Johnson forever.
  3. When it comes time to select, I have a curve-ball player to consider at 91 but will wait to discuss it until the Browns are on the clock.
  4. Greetings from a bright and wonderful desolate wasteland where Deshaun "He's Michael Jordan" Watson's greatness and that 12th pick haunts the fandom -- Cleveland, Ohio. We miss Duke Johnson. We don't miss Roderick Johnson. We seek to potentially move up from 91 to 90 assuming our guy is still on the board. We're open to hearing what you'd have in mind in terms of compensation in return for moving down a few spots. Some things we have to offer are the following, but am definitely open to hearing your ideas and considering other assets in exchange. Te'von Coney LB acquired via trade, a pick Swap in the 5tha 7th round pick, our 3rd(91) + a 5th for a 3rd (88) + a earlyish 6th if you have one, and/or other things.
  5. Regarding trade talks: 87 - New England didn't respond to trade request, but instead selected Jacob Eason, QB Washington. 88 - Vikings don't want to trade as they've been trying to trade up. 89 - Saints don't want to trade b/c they have their sights on a particular prospect. Probably Devin Duvernay or another WR. 90 - Awaiting word from Houston Texans FFMD contingent, but at this point the player we seek will likely be gone or they'll take them most likely, or we might a well just wait until we pick at 91.
  6. Never mind ... just saw that you all selected Jacob Eason. Jalen Hurts shall have his revenge lol.
  7. Like the Good Sir Kevin Stefanski once said, "Give thee draft info unto your midwestern brethren and you shall be rewarded with the most precious virtual football in history for this is right." And here I thought we were Midwestern brethren, forged by the cold weather and whatever the hell else they say is supposed to unite us, lol. Well ... it seems that according "sources" trade talks between the Vikes and Browns never got off the ground. What a time.
  8. And what position group might that be "hypothetically" in reality speaking ... lol. If you all don't want to trade down, give us the heads up so the minor virtual simulation disappointment can wash over us quicker and I can rally the forum masses (and by masses I mean 1-4) around their new FFMD reality.
  9. What I can say and confirm with 100% fact is that we will be selecting an entity belonging to the group homo sapiens sapiens. Beyond that .... I don't know. Lol. No, honestly, as conditions of the trade we would have no issue sharing the position group we are targeting assuming you share that info as well (and possibly first). Captain Stefanski demands that we interact in good will as to set up future trade partnerships in the future.
  10. Greetings from a bright and wonderful desolate wasteland -- Cleveland, Ohio. Kevin Stefanski sends his regards. We seek to move up from 91 to 88.
  11. And in a flash trade discussions "never actually got off the ground between the Browns and Saints" according to "sources." Good times. May Duvernay bring thee many a virtual simulated reality pro-bowls.
  12. @Greene N White Greetings from the Land that Belichick departed and left broken -- Cleveland, Ohio. We seek to move up from 91 to your selection at 87. Some things we have to offer are the following, but am definitely open to hearing your ideas for a fair trade. Te'von Coney LB acquired via trade (some compared him to Kyle Van Noy coming out of BYU), a pick Swap in the 5th, and/or a 7th round pick.
  13. @tyler735 @sparky151 Greetings from the Cleveland Browns Forum. We miss Demario Davis. We are seeking a trade-up from 91 to 88. We too have evaluated that Duvernay and other quality WRs are a plenty still and will likely be available at 91 and beyond. However, we're looking to select a different positional group. Some things we have to offer are the following, but am definitely open to hearing your ideas for a fair trade. Te'von Coney LB, a pick Swap in the 5th, a 7th round pick.
  14. nvm i found the threads for the Pats, Vikings and Saints at 87, 88 and 89. Will see what can be done.
  15. No worries. Thanks for the info. I'll see if I can figure out something in these forum streets. @NudeTayne is there a particular thread to go to put out a trade idea or what.
  16. Lol. No, but we who wear the cloth and believers of "Wills is OT1 No Matter What" are many. We are united by common cause and must spread the news as charlatanism and illusioned thought are a rising scourge tide sweeping away many in these internet nfl draftnik lands out to sea where they will be lost forever and never return to the sanity of solid draft prospect evaluation again.
  17. If we used that PFF charting to Draft a Tackle this is what the draft board should look like: 1.) Tristan Wirfs 2.) Andrew Thomas 3.) Josh Jones 4.) Jedrick Wills Jr. 5.) Mekhi Becton --------- So, why don't we just use that chart as the end all be all for who's the best Tackle to select? It's clear in those numbers who the clear choice should be, isn't it? The run blocking analytics have Josh Jones even higher. So, the numbers must prove Josh Jones is better, right? We should take Josh Jones at 10 over Wills and definitely over Mekhi Becton according to those numbers. Expert scouts and personnel guys have access to that same data and even more parsed and refined analytic analysis, but by overwhelming consensus none would have Josh Jones over Jedrick Wills or Mekhi Becton and few would see Josh Jones and Andrew Thomas as close. Are they just wrong? What factors are they looking at? Is there context missing in those numbers (i.e., Level of Competition, Plays that look like down-grades to a coder but actually aren't, Plays that look like up-grades to a coder but are actually should be down-graded plays, how the player looks while blocking, what the snap wins and what the losses look like, offensive scheme, etc)? So, what does it all mean? Ultimately, Numbers are a tool of understanding real life phenomenon. Numbers/Analytics can lie, but the Tape doesn't. Ultimately, all that matters is the context of play; the numbers in context as tool of understanding, but ultimately it's the traditional football scouting analysis that should inform the numbers/analytics and thus should have more weight in understanding what's real and what's not. If you think those numbers are justification for why Wirfs is not a Guard prospect but all Tackle, then you're missing everything to begin with. What's more interesting/odd to me is how every year someone pulls up a PFF grade chart as the gold standard that overrides traditional football scouting analysis instead of viewing such charting as being subject to more important contextual factors, as well as the data/event coders tape watching decisions.
  18. Those grades look like NFL.com's Lance Zierlein, Daniel Jeremiah, and staffs grades which happen to come with a "Grade Key." That Grade Key is the following: 8.0 - The perfect prospect 7.3-7.5 - Perennial All-Pro 7.0-7.1 - Pro Bowl talent 6.7-6.8 - Year 1 quality starter 6.5 - Boom or bust prospect 6.3-6.4 -- Will be starter within first two seasons 6.1-6.2 -- Good backup who could become starter 6.0 -- Developmental traits-based prospect 5.8-5.9 -- Backup/special-teamer 5.5-5.6 -- Chance to make end of roster or practice squad 5.4 -- Priority free agent 5.0-5.1 -- Chance to be in an NFL training camp According to the key, they are saying Jedrick Wills jr. is above Year 1 Quality Starter but just below a Pro Bowl talent out of the gate. Becton is a "Year 1 Quality Starter" Wirfs is above a "Will be starter within first two seasons" but right on the nose of a "Boom or bust prospect" Josh Jones, Andrew Thomas, and Austin Jackson fall into the "Will be starter within first two seasons" Though the numbers are close that's actually a pretty big fall off from a 6.85 to a 6.34 going from essentially a pro-bowl talent to a starter of various qualities by year 2. My personal grades would've seen Wills as a 7.15 with Becton being in the Boom or Bust range and Wirfs being lower as Tackle. Everyone else's grades are about right imo. To me, Josh Jones isn't in the same league/category as Andrew Thomas and really even Austin Jackson. I don't think Jones is a scheme fit either. The problem ultimately is if we trade down how far is just right to get an Austin Jackson. Even if the Browns do trade down let's hope Berry and co have the right sense of where to go and still get their guy.
  19. This FFMD thing is very interesting. I wish I would've been able to stick around to see this thing unfold. @NudeTayne Nice, a move King Kai Nacua would be pleased. Justin Evans had an Achilles injury that put him out all year (not exactly a tear though), but still when he was healthy the year prior he flashed a lot and he's a talented player with injury history that still has pro-bowl potential. He's young and has time to experience a less injury filled stretch in his career. Te'von Coney is a thumper with limited pass coverage ability but has plus intangibles and upside to grow. The real star of the trade are the two consecutive picks at 80 and 81 given the players still on the board.. @freakygeniuskid with the extra gambles acquired why not gamble on Muti
  20. I'm a fan of that trade. There's at least 4 guys to like.
  21. That sucks. Driscoll and Muti are substantively better than Teller right now and Driscoll has major Tackle ability. Forbes is all a projection and feel good story. I liked the limited tape but Driscoll showed his wares against SEC comp. Let them compete. Both have Tackle versatility.
  22. Muti's the best talent by far, but medical flags might mean we'd be better going Driscoll. It's tempting to swing for a home run with Muti. Amik is amazing but we're too deep at CB relative to having a true impact starting Guard that could kick out to DR if need be. I love Troy Dye but there are more quality LBs available relative to OLineman. Dye, Driscoll, or Daishawn Dixon. Leaning Driscoll probably but if we were teams with medical reports and felt good about Muti, then that would be the clear selection.
